The more I think about it the more I think this 'fight' is just a rumor.

Why would Mayweather fight outside of Las Vegas? What for?

Not going to happen. 1st fight was a clear victory. No need to revisit it again. Cotto won't get any better. If anything Floyd would have a greater chance of stopping him. I'd rather see a Mayweather/Canelo match instead of this again.

Mark my words. This isn't gonna happen regardless of where the fight takes place.

You don't get parole for a 90 day sentence. He will get out early for good time, if anything, and I don't recall hearing that he had probation, so it's safe to say that he will be under no restrictions.

Cotto must feel like an A Class prostitute. Mayweather and Pacquiao are bidding for the right to **** him for the 2nd time.

that would be a great fight at MSG. Cotto would have HUGE support. I think it would be another entertaining fight and Cotto has earned it. $$$$$

Only mayweather homies would frown on it.

Dunno what to think tbh. Mayweather clearly won but I suppose it is in MSG. Can't really see it doing as many numbers this time?

I have no problem with the fight in general. Giving the former champ a shot at his belt after a good fight is fine. That said, as a guy who always liked Cotto, my thing is this: Go somewhere else. Cotto is one of the finer fighters who aren't ATG-level, and about as accomplished and good a resume as you're going to get without hitting that level. But, he's had two shots at it and he's lost a very clear decision and been brutalized to a late-round mercy stoppage in those two fights at the highest level. I feel he comes up spiritedly short at this level once again and yet he could go add some nice treasure to his chest if he scored a fight with one of the other titlists-none of whom I'd favour against him. And still be making big money. I have no problem with the fight, but if I had Cotto's ear, I'd tell him to go reap the rewards of his tremendous efforts in a more winnable match.

    Stupid

You don't fight a guy like Floyd after he's already had 12 rounds to figure you out.

Won't happen, tax rules in the state means it's not economical for Floyd to fight in NY

    Please...NO

The thing people don't understand is that everyone called the Cotto vs Mayweather fight "close" but it wasn't.

It was competitive but that's only because we aren't used to seeing Mayweather lose more than 3 rounds in a fight.

I would love to see Cotto vs Canelo, that's the best fight at 154 IMO. It brings in huge star power, it has the Mexico vs PR thing going and it's a true test for Canelo at this stage of his career.

Mayweather should only be fighting Pac or Martinez and that's it.

Won't happen. NY means high tax and no xylocaine.
