Canelo Alvarez will demand a set amount of money guarantee for a tough opponent like GGG.
For the fight to be held in 2016, GGG has to take the very short end of the stick.
If GGG doesn't want to get short changed, he really has no choice but to wait beyond 2016. I've been saying that for awhile now.

I am pretty sure that Golovkin himself will be fine with that, but noone would want to be in Canelo's shoes during that fight !

If this rumor has any substance then it is a great opportunity for GiGi to earn a chance to enter the elite level of competition.
GiGi should start renegotiating his contract with K2 so he can keep some more of his hard earned dollars in his own pocket rather than K2.

Canelo definitely is the top draw so GiGi willhave to take the offer or STFU,

A fair deal is the purse bid since GGG is mando, do you understand this amigo? 50-50 mandated by WBC or around that since they are both champs.

  9. Pretty much this.

;) Yep, purse bid as stated by the WBC if O$CAR can not come to an agreement.

Seems like the "Catch Weight" issue is "off the table" !

:admin Still no guarantee that O$CAR will allow the fight to occur...

dropping the belt is still an option !

I would take it if I was GGG. Beat the **** out of Canelo and then offer him 2 miles in a rematch. Of, and I wouldn't pay the wbc fee before the fight, like Cotto.

This. GGG would be a fool to settle for a flat fee.

If this rumor is true and this offer is legit then I'm putting my money on Team Triple Duck turning it down. If Bumlovkin can make $2 million fighting the likes of David Lemiuex then he can make more money in a bigger fight @ 168. They should have just fought Ward...
