If Team Golovkin can negotiate that price up then sure, they ought to get what they can. But if Team Canelo is drawing a hard line in the sand and it really is a take it or leave it offer then I would hope Team GGG would acquiesce.

650k PPVs > 97k PPVs is the only math that matters here...

Yeah, there is. Mr 97k PPV buys himself, Gennady "the B Side" Bumlovkin...

Clearly canelo trying to lowball GGG in the hope that he refuses. I'm praying golovkin accepts just to see the look on Canelos face.

That won't work, because then it would go to pursebids and then Golovkin is entitled to a much higher cut of the purse.
In that case Canelo either has to pull out of the fight, go along with the fight at Middleweight, or pay uncle Sulaiman a hefty sum to come up with another bullsh*t loophole.

    ... yeah, I don't think so.

Canelo is either trying to lowball GGG and make him vanish or he's trying to squeeze as much $$$ from the last fight he has as a credible champion. He knows Golovkin is likely to beat him.

Different level of opponents though. If Golovkin fought Cotto his numbers would have been a lot higher

Which goes to show you're nothing but an ignorant fanboy.

Winner take all scenarios doesn't work in a judged sport.

    Run along, mommy's calling you.

    Ok.

Let me know when Bumlovkin has sold more than 97k PPVs. Until then, the Triple Duck is the king of the sub 100K PPV draws.

    LOL...

How do you know Team Golovkin would reject it? And isn't it usually a business formality to start with a low ball offer? It's common that the offering party is willing to settle at a much higher rate than their initial starting terms.

If this offer is really on the table, I would suspect that team Canelo is expecting for it to be rejected and they are prepared to settle at a higher figure.
