Nobody would look good against Lopez. Just because he throws a punch then grabs you the whole fight!

But kelly certainly Did a lot more damage than Dyla Davis... lol. Kelly would hurt that dude bad!

as for boxing - I think Kelly Is gonna improve quickly. He is gonna gain More speed and some more combo punching, footwork, and head movement.

Outside of boxing- YES! From some of the interviews Ive read, Garcia Is looking forward more to Being there for Kelly with his Alcohol Issues more than training him. Garcia Said there are plenty of good guys around the Gym to help Kelly stay focused.

On Roberto's Facebook Page Some Fans were making Negative comments about Kelly. Roberto said " Why So negative? Kelly and I have Nothing to lose"!

Roberto Garcia Seems like a Very Good man with a huge heart! Thats what Kelly needs!

If he got Garcia to himself for a while it would do him good, but I've had inside info on that gym and it sounds all wrong for a guy from the midwest who might still be a bit fragile psychologically.
Much as I think Kelly is slightly overrated,I'd love to see him beat his demons.

I'd rather Kelly Pavlik never boxed again, yet managed to become self dependant and live clean. If he uses Boxing to escape from deamons then it will most likely prove to be a temporary fix.

Question is, does he have that sort of will power?

I just fear that he's fallen too far to ever really get back.

No Helmet, I think Froch would beat Pavlik.

Pavlik was a big MW, but with Carl he wouldn't have those physical advantages, add in that you really have to assume he's damaged goods, and it's not a tough fight for Froch.

If Pavlik wants to fight in the UK he should go after George Groves, he might win that one.

I'd like the bloke to have a good life, nothing against him. If he replaces an alcohol addiction with Boxing, what will he do when he can't box anymore?

Sisi9, are you addicted to YOUR job? :patsch Kelly has other things he could do. He has the money saved up from all account I've heard/read. Trying to equate his career with his addiction was just plain idiotic. It means he is trying to get his life back on track, not moving on to another addiction.

    i hope your all wrong:good

About the Slightly overrated thing.-- I never thought Kelly Personally Never got the credit He deserves. Myself and other Pavlik followers who have watched Pretty much every fight that was ever viewable see things the casual Pavlik fan, or a HATER doesnt see.

Under-rated Defense most importantly. Kelly Has been "Damaged" 1 time. That was agaisnt Sergio with that cut that opened up. B-Hop hit him all night, That was the only guy to ever do that! But was Kelly ever Hurt in B-Hop fight? No. The Only time i have ever seen Kelly Visabley Hurt was against JT. He took 5 un-answered bombs that any boxer would have fell down from.

Other than all i wrote above. If you watch film on Kelly. Most Punches that Kelly Looks to get hit with, were DEflected by Kellys Gloves. (Thats why Everyone, including my self thought Kelly Lost To Lopez, until you watch it again and turn the Volume off because Commentary was so Biased) Clean effective Punching is what wins you fights, and NOBODY has been able to Out do Kelly in that other than B-Hop. Sergio on the other hand fought the best fight he could and got lucky, and he knows it! ( Thats why he declined 2 rematches proposed). Beating a Kelly who spent 2 weeks of Training camp in rehab and had to drop 20 lbs th week of the fight. He only beat Kelly 8-4, or you could say 7-5 because of the flash Knockdown? Once Sergio felt the power it was RUN FORREST, RUN!

Finally... Kelly has a great 1-2, 3-2. KO Power in Both Hands, and No one can argue his Chin, and Heart in the ring!

have fun with my ramble fest  I respect you!

Unlike some of my fellow Pavlik fans, I am a little bit more understanding of some things that are said like this comment here. But im gonna have to shoot you down and say that Pavlik doesnt replace Drinking With Boxing. He has ALWAYS Drink/Drank/Drunk during Training Camps/ In between fights etc... He was Religously at Vernon's Cafe in Niles Ohio on Monday Nights getting his drink on, during preperation for taylor2, Lockett That i know for sure of! Anther fight such Named Billy Lyell Who gave Chavez Jr. a Hard fight losing a UD used to be in my hometown of Howland EVERY friday night at a Bar Called Leon's ( Which Is where My Pic With pavlik was taking at a few months ago). Its not un common for Fighters or any athletes to PARTY during there Professional Career! :good

    Thankyou, a decent explanitory reply.

You've saved Helmet from the amazing retort I had typed and would of delivered had my internet not cut out. :rasta
It's below, I've taken out the insults.

'Pavlik has had/has alcohol issues, he has alot of money and 0 need to work and provide income for his family. The result of that is alot of free time on his hand. What does he do with it? He drinks.

If Pavlik gets back into Boxing, he will have something to focus on, to dedicate himself too, to work for. This may help him beat his alcohol addiction.

Let's say Pavlik is successful in his comeback, he becomes a full time Boxer once again, replacing his alcoholic days with those of a top class athlete, what do you think he'll do once he retires, and doesn't have to train? He's back to square one...'

I wish I had a answer. I do understand what your saying. Hopefully by the time he retires lets say 5 years or so. He will be tied up with family functions with his children (assuming they are in sports/dance or whatever). Or He could continue being a promoter like he said he would like to!
