Yes, as events they were. That is true. As far as sorting out divisions, no they were not. Just how Pac vs DLH wasn't a fight to sorting out a division, neither was Pavlik vs Hopkins. But I guarantee you one thing, at the time when PBF vs DLH was signed, NO ONE was shouting "PBF needs to fight AM or Williams", everyone was fine with him fighting DLH, & everyone was hoping Cotto would get a little better so PBF & Cotto could clash in 2008.

This guy is just racist man for real...He doesn't know to much about boxing...my sister knows more than him n I dont even have a muh fuc*kin sister...ducking everyone for 5 years...lets see in the past 5 years who has he fought...

Philip Ndou-KO artist (very dangerous) rated the #1 challenger at the time...Mayweather Ko 7

Demarcus Corley-UD with 2 knockdowns...at the time he had 2 losses...Top 10 140lb fighter at the time (oh and this was a title eliminator too...The WBC made Floyd fight Corley if he wanted a shot at the title)

Henry Bruseles-KO8 Bruseles is garbage...Floyd had to take this fight as well..Title eliminator to get to the gatti fight..Oh and after this fight Floyd called out Kostya, hatton, and Cotto..

Arturo Gatti- KO 6..At the time of the fight Gatti was coming off a KO win over a past prime Leija, 2 Ko victorys over 2 good undefeated fighters, and 2 wins over Micky Ward which he fought wars in those 2 fights...

Sharmba Mitchell-KO6...Past his prime..nothing fancy to add about this fight...Floyd was supposed to fight Zab but Zab had to face his mandatory Carlos Baldomir....This fight supports nothing with Floyd really other than another victory...

Zab Judah-UD12..Zab was ranked #2 in the world by ring magazine at the time...was coming off a loss to Baldomir...Floyd showed he could box with a boxer...Oh and Zab was coming off a loss and this fight was still on PPV....

Carlos Baldomir-UD12...Carlos was ranked ABOVE Margarito at this time..he was the Champ on ring magazines list as well as alot of other peoples list...WBC champ as well..hadn't lost a fight in 9 years and was 1 of the biggest welterweights out there-still is if he chooses to fight at 147..Boring fight I agree although Im not a ***** like AZTEK WARRIOR and I don't mind watching boxing clinics being put on...

Oscar De La Hoya-SD12...At the time IMO Oscar was the best at 154lbs....He was also ranked # 3 at 154 at the time...He hadn't done much of anything other than KO Mayorga for a few years and he wasn't in his prime but he was still a tough fighter....Floyds 6 title in 5 weight classes..

Ricky Hatton-KO10...Ricky was ranked #8 lb 4 lb at the time..he was and still is the ring champ at 140...He had proved himself in the ring with some good and great 140lb fighters.....

AZTEK YOU LIKE 15 OR SOMETHIN CUZ U SURE HARD OVER THE KEYBOARD..BOTTOM LINE IS YOUR BOY TONY WILL NOT CRACK THE TOP 150 ATG'S...ILL ADMIT (CUZ I DONT JUST HATE LIKE YOU) THAT HE IS EXCITING TO WATCH AND ID PAY FOR A REMATCH WITH COTTO..BUT HE'S NOT A BIG PPV DRAW...ITS FUNNY HOW FLOYD FOUGHT ZAB ON PPV WHEN ZAB WAS COMING OFF A LOSS, YET MOSLEY IS COMING OFF A VICTORY OVER A FIGHTER IN MAYORGA WHO IS BETTER KNOWN THAN TONY BUT THE FIGHT IS ON REGULAR PPV....YOU NEED SOME LESSONS IN YOUR BOXING HISTORY LITTLE GUY..

OH AND YOU JUST GOT MOATED..

Oh and for those that are about to bring up some BS about Bruseles and Corley...Those 2fights were title eliminators...he had to fight them to get to Gatti and even after beating Bruseles he was calling out the best at 140 but nobody wanted no parts...You can't blame fighters for fighting mandatorys or title eliminators..Its part of the sport and part of the business!

Who was better than Oscar at 154 in November 2006 when the fight was signed?Dont say Vernon Forrest cuz he was coming off a gift decision to Ike Quartay...Spinks is garbage IMO...Karmazin was a fluke...

For me, that body mass of Margarito proves that he needs to move up.

    I never got this logic.

If a man can make Welterweight, he is a Welterweight.

The reason the logic came about is to discredit a fighter who's on top. Nothing more to it than that. The guy has been a Welterweight his entire career.

    Ignore it. :good

Wouldn't surprise me at all if this was true. It has to happen sooner or later. This guy has been making this same weight limit since he was a teenager and the only reason he can still make it is because of the unreal training regimen his trainer puts him through. Now that his body chemistry has progressively been changing and coupled with the fact that he has made all that $$$ it has to be at least a little bit tougher to keep that same exact work ethic.

Of course Mayweather and Oscar wasn't going to be criticized, I didn't criticize it. I'm referring the Hatton/Mayweather scam. We all knew who was going to win. But Margarito/Mayweather is still a fight that fans want to see. And it won't happen, because he isn't "worthy". Whatever...

Did Zab show his worthiness for his fight with Floyd?

The contract was set before he lost to Baldomir. Floyd looked for another opponent and couldn't find one and went through with the fight anyway. People wanted to see it regardless of the Baldomir loss.

so basically your saying that he has only won 2 of the 4 fights that he fought against guys his size..

that doesn't seem that good of a record...
