A few rumors going around that Tony Jeffries vs Travis Dickinson on at the SOL in what would be the biggest all North East show down of the last era.

Both undefeated as pros who would you fancy to win between the Olympic medalist and the Prizefighter winner?

He's been talking about fighting over in the states soon. No doubt he'll say something about it on twitter at some point today.

I heard those rumours too, it would be great because i live close to Sunderland.

    Ringside should be cheap.

I think theyll be hoping for a sky spot for this so itll all depend on if sky are willing to put the show on on a sunday. Not sure if anythings happening then, the footy season is over so i imagine there should be some sunday space to fill up

One of the other problems theyve got is its the day after Haye Klitschko so they wont get much hype for it but could get some advertising on the PPV bill. Not sure if overall thatll be good or bad

For me the biggest problem in making this fight is the risk involved for both fighters. Both seem fairly comfortable, Jeffries fetches top purses at local shows and no doubt Travis will be getting some nice pay days too with his Prizefighter win a loss could really mess that up.

The winner of this fight would be elevated to top domestic level fighter and the looser will be stuck doing home town shows for a while.

As for Jeffries in the USA , what is the point he can pack out a venue in the North East and make a nice payday on these small fights. He has no pulling power in the US.

I've seen a bit of Dickinson and think he's decent... unless he's got dodgy whiskers or Jeffries has improved out of sight under Tommy Brooks I know where I'd stick my £10.

Anyone that has shown Jeffries a bit of movement has frustrated the hell out of him.

Be very surprised if this happens in the next year unless it is for the British title, hope it does be a cracking fight and atmosphere
