Rumors Wilder to face Breazeale next

AJ doesn't HAVE to fight Povetkin next.

But of course, he will.

 

If AJ had any balls, Wilder wouldn't HAVE to.
What happened to "unification fights trump mandatories" ?

Wilder stated on radio 2 weeks ago that he won't be facing Breazeale next if no AJ fight and won't be fighting him until forced by the WBC. Wilder will most likely face either Kownacki or Rivas next IMO.

 

It was a solid victory for a first defence and 20th fight.

It isn't for like a 10th defence and 40th fight

 

I agree, but people have Breazeale as a top 10 fighter, which is only because of outside the top 4 fighters the division is **** poor.

If no AJ then I'm fine with this although Povetkin, even at 38 is the much better opponent.

 

Two good fights, Povey won't need to do VADA for Joshua's title, and Brezeale is Big, tough and has motivation.

Wilder - Joshua just didn't seem like a superfight to me yet anyway. I like these fights.
