Then where are Foreman's Toronto five? Where is the numerous exhibitions sorry, 'bouts' I have seen in the 80s and 90s? If three round exhibitions count, then surely six and eight rounders do? You cannot have one rule for one 'bout' and a different one for the other? This Mr/Ms Boxrec needs to clarify, if he/she/it is the offical keeper of record for the BBB of C.


But if this is all true, then this Mr/Ms Boxrec has super powers. As once, he/she/it managed to watch Benn KO7 Miller from Wembley, when the fight was at the Royal Albert Hall.

Of course that could just be an error or maybe somewhat ironically, he/she/it mistook a Watson exhibition bout (which is not mentioned) for the bout?

 

Boxrec is far from a flawed source but the BBBoC do recognise Prizefighter results and success allows fighters to navigate their way up their rankings. They are not regarded as "exhibition" fights at all.

As for the Toronto 5, if the USABF had deemed them official contests then they would appear in Foreman's rcord but they didn't. In fact, didn't a couple of the opponents wera headguards?

 

Probably, because like eight men one night tournaments, they are either amateurs, or fighting exhibitions!

As for North America, the NABF and USBA only have rules for their contests. Most States in the USA has commissions to officiate their contests, each with different rules (hence the many problems). Canada too, where Foreman had the five 'bouts' have different rules again.
