Soft stoppage of Calzaghe/Manfredo proportions. Solis was definitely on top but still!

riddick bowe was knocked out by jose louis gonazales as an amatuer.

when they met as pros about 9 years later gonzales was beaten very easily by bowe.

solis has so far not been very serious about his pro career, rarely getting into shape, which he will need when he steps up his comp .

So true. Fighting at Heavyweight there is a lot more risk in getting permanent damage to a boxers health. If he has 2 or 3 big fights (Hopefully including a Klitschko or 2) and then wants to retire, I wouldn't hold it against him.

If Solis wasn't on the verge of eating himself into a diabetic coma, he might be a more formidable adversary. He is big and he can punch and he's under 36, which could trouble Haye. But right now Solis has more to worry about than a title shot...his waistline.

You're delusional, my friend. Haye has some pop, but he's not a massive puncher at heavy...sorry. That's why guys keep getting up even when hits them perfectly. When Wlad and other puncher hit guys like that they stay down.

    :huh

But Solis is fighting Valuev with the winner to fight Vitali.

    Why is Haye worrying?

Hardly. Haye was always in the fight with Solis in the amateurs, and since then he's only improved, whereas Solis has conceivably lost his motivation leading to his severe weight gain, and therefore arguable gotten worse.

Brilliant anaylsis....but Solis still has a dozen more heavyweight fights than Haye...And he's a natural heavyweight. Perhaps a little too natural these days.
