It’s all about opinions and I respect yours but I’ve seen him fight live twice now and he is a KO waiting to happen. He’s so open and slow throwing the shots he will never get to the top fighting like that. His best chance is to get a trainer who ties both his hands beside his ears and tells him every time he throws shots the hands need to go back to that position!!

Effective he may be at this level but at the top even in the UK they will work on the opening given and throw the shots that will land on the button.

Thought it was just me who just doesn't get what anyone sees in Joyce.

Sure he is a big fella but literally has to slowest hands in the division, don't rate him at all.

Joyce is a k.o waiting to happen but that said I think he is a match for anyone and I can see him beating most of the top 10 barring Joshua. He bullies most fighters with his size and pressure I think it will take someone of equal stature to stop him

I think he would walk wilder down and smash him to bits. Sure hes open to get knocked out at any point but I'd love to see him chop the skinny runt down.

I was impressed how he man handled and beat Thomas up. Of course plenty of guys would beat lenroy but not many would throw him around like a rag doll the way joyce did.

I think he's the most exciting heavyweight "prospect" if you can call him that at his age . And by exciting I don't mean his style but his potential to beat the big names.

I agree with your post apart from him smashing Wilder to bits. What has Joyce done that makes you think he will beat Wilder?

Joyce beats Gorman and Dubois at this point. He has ten years on them and vast amateur experience, plus a large height advantage - albeit not much over Dubois but their respective stances in my opinion make it look more. A couple of years down the line though who knows. Would like to see Gorman meet Dubois as that domestic matchup is bubbling away nicely and they share the same promoter. Would be a good measuring stick to see where both are really at potential and skill wise, too.

I just dont see how wilder beats him.

No one has put it on wilder like Joyce would. Ortiz tried to outbox him, fury will try to outbox him, Joshua will be cautious and try to outbox him.

Joyce would just walk him down and beat him up imo, wilder isnt a big heavy guy he won't be able to keep him off. We saw what wilder was like when hurt against Ortiz looking to cling on, Joyce would punish him he's relentless.

I'm quite open to the fact wilder knocks him out as Joyce is so open but if he doesn't land that big right before Joyce mauls him he's in big trouble.

I think wilder would struggle with miller for similar reasons. These aren't guys who will try and box him or be scared of his power . Just big heavy strong men who hit hard and with volume and will back him up to the ropes and chop him down.

All just a wild guess of course, who knows until they step onto the ring.

The way that both Jones and Davison have publicly come out and tried to rubbish it says to me that this is probably true.

It’s not the done thing for trainers to come out and comment on sparring rumours. They’re so common that there’s no point.

Both Jones and Davison are young guys, can’t imagine a wily old trainer bothering to comment. All they’ve done is fuelled the fire and I think the fact they were so concerned as to comment on it says to me it’s probably true.

With Fury's lack of power, I'm more likely to believe that Joyce dropped Fury and someone got their wires crossed

The fact they came out and denied the rumours suggests to me they respect Joe Joyce. The language is very specific though...maybe he was put down?

Sparring is sparring why is everyone getting caught up in it? How many rounds have they sparred? Has joe been told to mimic wilders style thrown a haymaker and Tyson’s counter punched him and knocked him out cold? Has Tyson and joe been standing toe 2 toe and Tyson’s flushed him? There is so many things we don’t no therefore for me it’s pretty pointless conversation to be having

    Sparring is training
Fight night is where it counts

People always make up these sparring stories. It doesnt matter either way as Fury wont be fighting Joyce in December. He has another man in front of him.

Whenever I hear people say X knocked Y out in sparring, I instantly think of actually knocked out like in a proper fight. Either stone cold KOed or down and all over tbe shop.

The reality tends to be they've just dropped someone, maybe ometimes hurt them in the process but it comes out as they were KOed in sparring.
