Fury has only talked to Frank apparently, nothing is set in stone. Looks like boxing on Channel Five is on hiatus.

    Spot on mate.
Murray gets no credit from some posters, he's a far better and more rounded fighter than the likes of Macklin.

If Murray fights anything like his last appearance he'll be on his arse within 60 seconds. Sturm is version 3.1 now!

I'd have to agree with that and infact I thought he was a bit fortunate to actually get the win.

He's better than that though we've seen that, hopefully it was just one of them fights where the opponent dragged him down a bit.

Im afraid Im one of 'those posters'.
For me Murray is a good solid basic boxer but thats about all.
He is blessed with big physical advantages over his peers at 160 - like Abraham and Chavez Jr before him.
His huge arms act as shields that block opponents punches all day.
But he is not, repeat NOT a great boxer (as per your comment "he's a far better and more rounded fighter than the likes of Macklin").
Murray is not smart, plus he is one-paced, lacks speed and gears and engine, and falls a long way short of being a 'great boxer'.
He is anything but 'well rounded'.
You see one Murray fight - you seen em all.
Why do you think he couldnt adjust to get inside on Sturm, get past his jab the way Macklin did? Cos he has no plan B, no tactical nous or the athleticism to carry it out!
Why do you think he failed to move in for the kill against a virtually helpless Sergio when Sergio was there for the taking?, particularly towards the end? No engine, thats why. Macklin would have stopped that pale shadow of the 'real' Sergio Martinez that Murray faced.
Murray wouldnt have laid a glove on the Sergio Macklin fought.

Looks at Macklins performances against the same two opponents Sturm and Sergio - totally different tactics and execution - because he has a Plan b and the ability to carry it out.
Murray is limited, simple and one-dimensional - in every fight his approach is the same. He does what he does and it either works for him or it doesnt. That is why it doesnt really matter who the opponent is. Murray might as well fight all-time-greats like Sergio in every fight as roadsweepers. He is equally likely to look good (or bad) against both.
He is not a great boxer.

Well if he wants to clear up 'unfinished business' then he should have fought Macklin again as despite Macklin looking pretty shopworn I could see why he would want to address that time he obviously robbed him. Noone really care about the Murray fight outside of Felix, he won't leave Germany and Quillin won't leave America, Sergio is chasing other fights and won't come to Germany so that leaves GGG who'd happily fight Felix in his backyard. Sturm however will avoid that fight like the plague as he knows what the outcome would be. Mr Boxing would be Mr. Unconscious.

i agree with these comments. i don't particularly like the hype surrounding murray. ever since the martinez fight people have been looking at him like he's a boxing god(forgetting how old martinez is and how many injuries he's suffered). i think there are allot of contenders out there like rosado, stevens and a couple of others who would make him look ordinary. And Srurm will beat him by a clearer margin this time.

When I first started saying this about Murray the abuse I got was unreal.
Now more and more people are coming round to a more balanced view of Murray. But for a while there I was about as welcome as a plague-carrier in a medieval village. Not for the first time, the passage of time is proving ol Len was right all along. :p;)

If Murray ever gets his hands on Macklin you better hide your head under the covers Len. Ouch.

In a video posted by the Furys they confirm that Hughie will be out on Channel Five in March. The plot thickens.

Hey watch it! I do the jokes around here!:p

Well it looks like much ado about nothing at this stage.
I can find no confirmation of the Mail report anywhere, and now Sturm is completely denying it.....
    Phew ...what a relief...:good

Of course this messy fiasco portrays Murray in a bad light.

Pulling out of the Fletcher fight for a title shot is forgiveable....but it now looks like he pulled out for some other reason...???
Cos for sure it now looks like he has NOT got a Sturm rematch, thankfully!

Second fight he has backed out of lately. Plus he looked awful in his last fight. What's up with Murray?
