I too hope an announcement is made soon. Seems like Usyk and his team are looking at who is available.
There is the obvious move up to HW, but there are also big fights still at CW, such as Lebedev.

So far the two longest breaks Usyk had had were 9 and 6 months.

Now also 'officially' confirmed that the talks between those two are ON.

I suppose on some level I could get behind a AJ and/or Fury rematch, and even a Wilder showdown.

It seems hard to imagine Wlad couldnt do better in a rematch with Fury, Wilder is just so vulnerable it would make that fight exciting and you have to believe Wlad has a very good chance at taking him out, and with AJ... Wlad was only a couple seconds away from winning the first fight and perhaps if he would have tried to take AJ out when he had him hurt, he would have (or maybe he doesnt.... maybe he walks into something sooner trying to go for the finish and he loses quicker, who knows)

But those fights I suppose I could get pumped for, because of what Wlad has to gain should he win.

If Wlad beat any of those three, especially AJ.... it would be pretty huge for his legacy. It would itself become a defining chapter of Wlads career.... to come back out of retirement to become champion again.

So I could support that, I could understand that.

Coming back to fight.... Whyte? A guy whose going to be dangerous for Wlad every round, whose going to put pressure, make it rough, make it ugly, and if Wlad does manage to win (not even close to a given at this stage).... really... what did he gain? Ya I suppose he knocks some ring rust off for a potential superfight with the other three, but thats really about it.

This fight really makes no sense to me, and I hope Wlad doesnt do it.

But Wlad doesn't deserve a title shot now, with only 1 win in 4 years and suffering two consecutive defeats. If he's serious about a comeback, he needs to prove himself again and a fight with Whyte makes perfect sense to set up another title shot.

How do you know that? It's usually Matchroom that books the venue.

I thought no chance initially but Steve bunce from his interview seems adamant that klitschko is coming back. Klitschko would only come back for a massive showdown like Wembley so I think this is a go. Also other things like Klitschko isn’t with his wife anymore so that troubled situation has gone away and he also shut down his old manager when he said klitschko wasn’t coming back. Very interesting stuff...

Why would Klitchko fight Whyte. It's not even a title fight. High risk low reward fight for Wlad. even if he defeats Whyte it doesnt enchace his legacy, because Whyte is mediocre and has no titles as far as I know.

Because if Wlad does want to come back he has to accept he can only come back at a certain level. Why would wilder fight him? Why would Fury? AJ won’t fight him again , doesn’t need to. Whyte is his only option I’d say.

Odds are already available, but the bookmakers seem to disagree who's the favourite.

Klitschko is a BIG favourite at skybet, with a victory you will get 1,33x your stake. If you bet on Whyte, you will get 3x your stake if he wins.

However, on paddy power, Whyte is the favourite. Odds 1.57 on Whyte, 2.25 on Klitschko.

Can you bet before a fight before it is announced. What if it is just a rumour?
