Sorry that I don't have a reliable source but I have a mate in the UK who reckons that Andy Ruiz is on standby incase Whyte pulls out. Sorry if this proves to be wrong but I think that Ruiz is a worthy replacement and it would be an interesting fight. Apparently this rumour is also on Facebook and Twitter.

Doesn't have the ring of truth. He is the bigger name. Since when is the fill-in guy a bigger name?

In any event, it would be a more intriguing fight.

Saw the same thing recently, it was an article from the Daily Mail (trash UK news outlet). Would take it with a pinch of salt if that is the same source as your mate got it from.

So Ruiz confirmed as the stand-by guy? Could have been a lot worse.

Where could Ruix get a bigger payday? He could sell some US PPV's and has good name recognition with UK casuals thanks to the AJ win, if Fury beats him in more impressive style than the Saudi fight it would add a bit spice to an eventual AJ fight. It makes perfect sense to me.

Makes sense, but I can't imagine Whyte is actually thick enough to pulll out of this fight even though him and his lawyer have made a right mess of the situation.

They are getting ready for Whyte to walk out of the ring just after they touch gloves because of the 80/20 purse split.
