Wlad starting preparation in Kiev, headed to Austria shortly (same routine as Thompson fight). This content is protected
Wlad should get Fritz in for this camp Wlad would be a combination throwing machine all over a gain and win in style in an exciting fight like he used to do for the fans.
:good Sounds very good. This guy knows Wlad since the Olympics in 1996. The Thompson fight was a very good fight from Wlad. This guy was in camp in February too for the preparation for Mormeck together with Bashir and Steward. This content is protected
That being said, Wladimir's old style was more exciting I admit. But that old style got him knocked out.. 3 times. The Brewster fight had a lot of controversy but he also got way too aggressive. He was still getting used to Manny and the game plan wasn't put into full effect. The Samuel Peter I Fight, the game plan was at 80% and look how well he did. It is what it is, people saying Wladimir got 'boring' fail to understand that if he fought like he did in the early 2000's he would have gotten KOed numerous times. Manny turned Wladimir into a technical machine, a thinking boxer. The guy that he was is a brutal Ko waiting to happen (and it did... 3 times) Another thing is, Wladimir's psyche have changed a bit, you don't suffer numerous defeats without LEARNING, he have learned and will never lose again. You know who is exciting? Amir Khan is exciting... he is currently a brutal KO victim.
^^^ This. Sdunek is a good trainer. He may not be the best psychologist and cannot get into Wlad's head like Stewart but he knows his ****. Today's Wlad has experience and confidence to deal with it on his own.
He's fighting Wach. Wach is the slowest man ever on the planet. Strategy won;t be an issue. Wlad could walk over to the corner, pick up a phone and call Steward and have a nice little chat and walk back over to Wach in the time it takes for one of Wach's punches to reach full extension.
Sdunek knows nothing. He ruined Wlad. Wlad was a mobile very very good boxer bevore 2000. He knows to move, good footwork. Sdunek turned Wlad into a "DDR-Stand boxer", without defence. The result was the KO against Sanders. And after that he did not say any work that it was his false too. Watch Wlad´s amateur fights and you see the Wlad of today. Emanuel Steward told this to Wlad that he was well trained in the Ukraine. And Wlad train the basics he learned from his coach Zolotarew. Sdunek ruined so many tecniqual boxer, not only Wlad. His behavior in 2004 when Wlad wants to train with another coach says everything about him. IMO Wlad will never forget it.. He will never be in Wlad´s corner again.
Wlad could show up tomorrow and KO WACH. But being the professional he is, he will make the most of this training camp in spite of his trainer and friend's illness. I see that things are still on schedule so far. He's in Austria. Doesn't sound like he's "ducking" to me.
