Sounds a bit like your boy Haye's career against genuine top 10 HW's.

Not retiring, the WAY he retired. After giving fans one of the most entertaining, competitive heavyweight fights in a long time, promising a rematch, which any true boxing fan was begging to see, and then only after Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson did he announce his retirement.

    No irony at all.
    Was Klitschko-Charr competitive? No.
    Was Klitschko-Charr entertaining? No.
Was Klitschko-Charr the best heavyweight fight in years? No.
Was Klitschko-Charr between two very talented superheavyweights? No.
Did Klitschko announce beforehand that he would retire after the fight if he wins the election? Yes.

I hope he doesn't retire, but if he does, it is nothing like Lewis's retirement.

The mention of irony was in reference to the question "who wants to see an old guy fighting and losing?"
I'm paraphrasing slightly but if you can't see the irony in that, then you clearly don't know the meaning of the word.
Vittles fans still cry because Lewis retired when he was old and shot, yet certain K2 fans can't deal with that.
I would say that question was very ironic indeed. You've taken the wrong part of my post to make your point.
    No harm done.I forgive you.:good

Vitali can retire whenever he wants. I'd like to see him in a last fight, though.

Vitali is still very good at this age, testament to his lifestyle and dedication. I think the dedication may be drifting away because of the politician stuff though.

He should leave the politicking another few years and stick to the boxing. Go out on your shield like a true warrior!

Great post. I think you were the one to expose his fraudulent behavior for that fight.

It was disgusting and I felt really really bad for Manuel Charr, who was cheated.
