I can 100% relate to that, at a point in my life when I was my most financially and emotionally secure, the happiest and completely stress free, I started having anxiety attacks. My first one actually started in the middle of the night while I was sound asleep FFS! I woke up thinking I was having a heart attack, chest pains, sweating, hyperventilating etc. It scared the living sh!t out of me and I stayed awake the rest of the night fearing I’d die in my sleep otherwise.

My second major one happened weeks later while sat in a movie theatre watching a comedy, fine one second then wham it happened again.

To this day (excuse the pun) I have no idea why they started!

Hearns had time now to think and come up with damage control methods while still releasing the half truth.

Yet he is still adamantly denying anything was wrong.

I happen to think Hearn is a pretty smart guy, and he has to know that the truth (if there is anything to this) will come out eventually.

Him doubling down on nothing being wrong does make me think that maybe he's telling the truth.

Exactly. I’m sure MANY fighters have ****ing spells of anxiety and panic attacks before and even during fights. They either get through it or don’t and I’ve never seen any goon father get in the ring and actually go after a promoter because his boy wasn’t pampered and pulled out of the fight last minute. Security should have tased his dumbass.

I know, it seems completely suspicious combined with AJ looks so obviously out of it.

And really, I can somewhat understand denying it the night of the fight because youre in complete shock and are dealing with a million things and are unsure what to say.

But after having a couple days to think on it and come up with something, why would they not just admit he was having panic attacks?

Hearns got to know that if hes bold face lying about this, surrounding one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history, it will get out.

When all he has to do is say 'yep guys... AJ is dealing with panic attacks. He wanted to fight through it like the warrior he is, his dad is mad that I allowed him to... ect ect ect." And talk about how AJ will be taking some time off.

There are ways someone like him can spin things to be releasing part truths while still doing damage control.

That hes so boldly denying it and saying they want an immediate rematch... just doesn't make much sense at this stage to me.

But who knows man, hopefully time will tell.

Believe me, if you suffered a proper panic attack midway through a fight, you wouldn't see out that round.

If a fighter has panic attacks, he shouldn't be fighting. He should pick another career.

The fighting sport requires the fighter to stay cool under pressure. The moment he panics, it's over for him.

IF, IF he suffered a panic attack it was brought on by either that Wlad right hand two years ago, the terror of knowing Ruiz was a PRIME live dog, or a sparring partner putting a charge into his skull.

Either way you slice it... its on him. Maybe the lab experiment is a little too fragile for this sport.
