If Joshua was more nervous than usual it would be because he was having his USA debut in Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

S*** happens in boxing. At the end of the day all those are just excuses.

Fighters have gone into a fight after their mothers have died, their wives have committed suicide, their brothers murdered.... Fighters have gone into a fight insecure, lacking confidence, distracted with things like law suits, pending criminal charges, injuries etc.........

The amount of excuses from the AJ sexuals is hilarious.

Thing is I'm kind of neutral on this. I was never much of an AJ fan (quite a skeptic actually) and didn't much care for the way he won the belts after Fury was forced to vacate. I also thought he was the recipient of very favourable decisions in the Olympics and throughout his earlier pro career.

By the time of the Ruiz fight I'd come round to him based on in-ring performances, and while I didn't much care who won I assumed Joshua would beat him based on what I'd seen of both fighters beforehand.

His performance wasn't what I would have expected of him, hence my trying to look for external factors to account for it. It's not an inability to accept that he lost since he did so fair and square within the confines of the ring, but more simple curiosity and for the sake of speculation.

Now, it's pretty much confirmed that Joshua was KOed by Dawejko in sparring. It had a huge effect on him and now he looks shot.

What are you 5 years old to get triggered over a commonly used reference in boxing forums?

Stop your whining, this is not a "safe space" and focus on the content of my post.

JOSHUA IS A MENTAL MIDGET WHO WAS DROPPED 4 TIMES AND QUIT.

Compare this to Oliver McCall, who was genuinely having a drug induced psychotic episode against an ATG, taking flush shot after flush shot with his hands down.

These guys now are business men not fighters.

Lewis, McCall etc all cut from a different cloth

    What behaviour ?
He looked normal. He looked like a fighter.
The way you say it, it was as if he looked like a lunatic from an asylum or an LSD casualty from a 2 day rave festival.
    LOL
Because I don't agree he was "off his head" it must be because I don't like him ?
He was completely lucid and articulate after the fight, despite a beating, in the ring and in the post-fight press conference.

Look, if he was allowed to fight then he wasn't concussed.
If he was smoking drugs it will come up in the drugs tests.

I've followed boxing for over 30 years and I've heard all this crap before. Every time there's a huge upset, we hear these same things.

Well he wasn't running around screaming, "I AM THE VERY MODEL OF SUPERIOR RACIAL GENERALS!" at the top of his lungs, but he was definitely not all there, that's for sure.

I'm far from an AJ fan, but something seemed off with him...not an excuse for the loss but I can both acknowledge he seemed weird and that he lost.

IF he has a mental illness that's not "on him". Engage your brain before you type.

Pretty clear the reaction to Ruiz was due to the PTSD flashback triggered by his horrible experience with Dawejko

He needs to stay away from the next generation of elite heavyweight specimens. Polish Paczki Kownacki or Big Pharma Miller might trigger him next.
