This, him and khan imo...Not buying the theory Brooks scared of Spencer that people are saying

 

For Khan the bigger money fight would be Brook because he would be getting a bigger slice of PPV revenue and his purse would be bigger. He wouldn't be the B side against Brook (I hate that A/Bside rubbish) he might have to share, compromise or whatever with Brook but he wouldn't be the secondary fighter for sure.

I'll have to find the article but Hearn is quoted as saying Khan will get paid 5 million for Pacquaio but would have got 8 million for Brook.

Now of course that's Hearn, he would say that I admit but that's a quote that could end up making him look rather stupid if it was that far off.

And I agree this fight would have been bigger 12-18 months ago, no doubt about it.

 

You can't about Brook not having "balls" after Brook fought Golovkin at the full 160 limit, never again, no way, you can't question his courage or bottle.

Brook does have options, he didn't have to fight Spence Jr, most would have completely understood if he went to 154 after Golovkin, it is widely accepted Brook kills himself to get to 147, he fought Golovkin at 160 so nobody could question his bottle.

At 154 there are plenty of great fights for Brook, even 160 is an option.

Khan had a couple of options but they all end in almost certain defeat, Thurman blitzes Khan, he won't fight Brook and Garcia is coming off a loss and so is Khan so right now that is not a money fight.

So what next? Peterson? That's not a PPV fight. So what? What makes Brook fight money for Khan?

Khan is not a draw, Khan is the opponent in big fights, Canelo was the draw and the main man, Pacquiao would have been the draw and the main man, Mayweather would have been the draw and the main man.

You seem to forget they have to give tickets away for Khan fights and shut parts of the arena for TV purposes. That never happens to draws.

If Khan is such a draw he wouldn't have been begging Mayweather or Pacquiao for pay days, he would have been accepting or having to turn offers because fighters go where the money is and Mayweather and Pacquiao would have happily fought him if he brought serious money to the table.

 

I never thought the fight made sense at ww anyway.the only reason brook would take it was to bend over to khans demands again in the hope of fighting him.
Brook was struggling to make ww anyway,spence will without be a lmw soon anyway.rather than it being looked upon as a duck either way,why not say fvk off khan you are irrelevent,let him get ko'd by anyone near the top 5 in the world,hes gone and fight at lmw were they both belong ?

People actually believe this rubbish. Seriously can anyone create a YouTube channel these days and pretend they are some hot boxing journalist??

 

That initial rumor was walked back a bit by the source in a part 2 video. Jumping the gun cause the May 20 date fell through combined with some wishful thinking. That's why I called it a rumor, and with the Eddie Hearns denial it was best to wait. If there were any second thoughts from Brook, the promised backlash could've set things straight but that's speculation (without any evidence). There isn't any journalism in boxing, we have to do it. People believe fake news, which is why folks with a platform will get stuff out there if it's juicy.

 

Oh no problem, was just talking in general. Ofcourse there were people out there spreading this as a fact (mostly on youtube) not even bothering to double check on it.

 

Just read today that Brook Vs. Spence fight will happen...........it was in the news...........
