Word around the deli counter is big meech is ducking the DDD rematch Also heard on the bus that turkey el al el SHAKER is lining up big baby miller vs Joshua in a battle of the DDD leftovers What are you hearing where you are?
Who else has Joshua ducked? Every time he’s lost he’s taken an immediate rematch. Considering the beating he took, February 22 would probably be too soon for him. If he took the rematch people would complain that he was getting a direct shot at a world title after losing so whatever he does he can’t win. Hopefully Dubois fights Parker next. And you are clearly talking BS since you said Joshua vs Miller is being planned when Miller is fighting Chisora in Manchester in January with Joyce vs Yoka on the undercard.
I can tell you’re new here. Joshua’s legacy is headlined by his career long DUCKS of Fury and Wilder whilst they served up a trilogy for the ages together. He has faced one prime banger his entire career. One. And he got splattered in five. He conveniently avoided every other prime banger of his era, and only got in with DDD because his promoter is now in the pocket of Turkey el al el al SHAKER Prime Joey Twelve is AJs premium win, I’m on record here as early as 2017 saying this (perhaps) Boxing historians will remember AJ as a ducker, it’s pretty much etched in stone by now.
Does it matter if AJ has six losses or ten? Man is getting stopped by anyone who can bang a bit. (Unless Hearns can find some more 0-1 wrestlers)
Joshua's legacy as things stand: Ducked Fury Ducked Wilder 1-1 with fat Andy (QUIT, obese grinning Mexican middleweight) 0-2 with Usky (featherfisted cruiser) 0-1 with Dubious (KO'd stiff, ducked the rematch) His best wins are clearly 41 Wlad and 39 Povetkin but it's doubtful whether he'd have beaten them in their prime and without home or A-side advantage. After that I'd say it's Whyte (decent puncher, came to win, Joshua avenged his amateur loss with an emphatic KO).
For sake of balance, you ignored Parker who was an undefeated world champion at the time regardless of what you think of the referee during that night. Also I remember on here a lot of people were saying that Wallin would cause Joshua problems and Joshua wouldn’t fight him, especially after Wallin went to Turkey and beat Gassiev securing a top 10 position in the Ring Magazine at the time. I never rated Wallin at all but it shows how fickle boxing fans are when they always look to discredit wins after the result (I saw another poster do it to Parker after he beat Wilder and Zhang).
Joshua was a Paper Champion and these 'champions' are always found out when they face a live test. His career mirrors the type of guy that travels up a steep hill on an e-bike and pretends he ran up it.
I regard 2015 Whyte as a better win than 2018 Parker, partly because Whyte beat Parker and KO'd mutual opponent Chisora but also because he was determined to win (I don't believe Parker was, it was a survival mode performance), Joshua didn't have help from the referee in the Whyte fight and Whyte hurt Joshua but Joshua ultimately KO'd him and avenged the amateur defeat. Boxing fans tend to discredit wins after the fact I will give you that. Wallin may be Joshua's best win since Povetkin but people don't regard that as impressive given that Wallin (who Joshua had sparred extensively) is durable and a decent boxer but has relatively very little KO power, didn't show much heart against Joshua and his most notable accomplishment to this day is scoring an early freak cut on an overconfident Fury and losing a wide decision. Sometimes it's wise to question the value of wins based on what you see. If Wilder was mentally finished when he fought Parker and just showed up to get paid (which is how it looked to me), it's foolish to boost one's view of Parker too much in light of his near-shutout win. Likewise, Zhang was nearly 41, 10-15 lbs heavier than his previous optimal weight, looking very pudgy and Parker scraped it on points after being dropped twice. So it's a good win but I doubt Parker would have beaten the younger and fitter Zhang from Joyce 1 or Hrgovic. I can't say I called it exactly but I said that Parker was getting Wilder at the best possible time: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...etter-time-for-parker-to-upset-wilder.713736/
Wallin’s lack of power is exactly why I always said Joshua would KO him in 6 rounds. I said this before the fight was even made. People were saying Wallin is a slick southpaw and would cause Joshua problems. Even Povetkin hurt Joshua and damaged his nose in that fight if I remember. Parker fought Whyte without a full camp (I think 8 weeks notice) and he was robbed of a KO victory in the final round. If it were the other way round the fight would have been stopped. Hopefully Parker gets justice and fights Dubois next as he deserves it.
Lennox Lewis has been dissing Joshua all day. Dubois said he will destroy AJ in the rematch. Rumour is Joshua had surgery in London. Great news all round.
How is this a rumor? Eddie Hearn has said he's not ready for February, and DDD's people are looking at Wardley. How is it a duck? Joshua isn't the champ and has nothing to defend, so how is it a duck if he doesn't want the fight.?
