I know Guzman has weight problems, but this fight could also turn into weight issues. Would have been nice a few years ago, Guzman has yet to be tested at 135 and basically just spent a year at 130. This fight at 140 doesn't even make sense and also has a tough fight ahead against Funeka. Why not fight Bradley or some other champ at 140? I think even maybe a fight against Valero though weight will also be an issue be a better fit for Mannys homecoming, esp. him not being able to fight in the U.S. Just my thoughts.

Great tune up! I think that is a great idea. We can see PAC defend his 140 title, get in some rounds...b/c Joan will be on the run and ultimately get anther nice KO. Then hopefully FLoyd vs PAC can be made. I think it's a good idea to have PAC fight in his homeland. He deserves that much.

I don't think Joan is ANY risk. He's not on PACs level and his style, although slick is not good enough for PAC. I say go ahead and make the fight. Valero would be better!

Right! Ali I feel wins this easily. Well.....Joan will be on the run against the high intensity and pressure fighter Ali. ....he's like a smaller Paul Williams.

Great fight choice as well.....I think any fight at 140 is a good tune up for PAC in preparation for Floyd. I really don't see anyone offering a true risk for PAC at jr WW.

I think Ali wins a lopsided decision or possible KO.

LOL......JMM is a pure a boxer one can get! Get the **** outa here with that bull **** brah. You are right that Manny may not look good with Joan b/c of his running style when he knows he would get his ass smashed. But it's NOT a risk. There really aren't huge risks at Jr WW. The risks are agaisnt guys who hold size, strength and power advantages and no one has that over pac at 140

That's about the best "tune-up" fight for Pac pre-Mayweather. It's like a mini Pac-Pbf bout!

    Bring it on!
