With the Parker fight looking less likely, theres talks they may fight later in the year. Amazing to think that Whyte is 3 years younger than Joe! If it did happen, who would you have?
Would be a brilliant fight for both. If Whyte wins he back in contention of the title challenger mix talk and if Joyce wins he cements his mandatory with win over his first top 10 HW. Joyce is wild open defensively and has slow hand so can his granite chin withstand being hit clean and often by Whytes great left hook? If Joyce does get past the first 6 rounds, I believe Joyce superior endurance, engine, workrate and pressure stops him late. With Whyte in a fight by fight contract with MR hopefully this is actually a realistic fight.
"If joyce gets past the first 6 rounds"? No way in a million years does whyte stand a chance of beating joyce... Joyce smashes him about for however long it lasts... some people see and read boxing very differently to what I see lol
I'd be surprised if it happens. Joyce would be a horrible style match up for Whyte. Whyte has horrible movement he won't be able to keep him off him and as we saw against Fury he isn't great cutting off the ring on a bigger man either. Plus Whyte relies on his jab but Joyce has a better jab. Yes Joyce is easy to hit, but so is Whyte and the big difference is Joyce can take a punch. If it happens I see another bad loss for Whyte.
People said no way Joyce beats Dubois, Bivol beats Canelo and Bakole beats Yoka ( I made money on all). Fight could go either way, I'm sitting in the fence on this one.
One way fight this, I just dont get why ppl sleep on joyce so much. I hope it happens, I love adding whytes showreel kos to the ever increasing play list lol
Be a good fight while it lasted. Many favoring Joyce here and he does match up with Dillian but he is there to be hit and Whyte can crack if nothing else. I do think Whyte is vulnerable in this thought. He's been in a few too many wars and has been taken out with one shot twice. I don't think he's got too many top line fights left in him. Joyce or Wilder would be fun opponents but I see Whyte loosing both. This is the type of fight Joyce needs though. It puts him firmly in the contender bracket..Beat Whyte then aim for AJ if he looses to Usyk? Then a title shot maybe? He hasn't got time on his side but that path could work for him.
Joyce by wide UD. Whyte is finished. Even in his prime Joyce beats him but now i don't even think its close.
...and still can't avoid an uppercut or buffet. At this point Whyte is a meme. Joyce knocks him out somewhere around six.
It's usually hard to predict early KO's but in this instance ? I don't see it going past 3 as Whyte is past it.
