Yes i agree, but Parker clearly had an offer and took one he considered better Why is Warren going to approach Shalom for a fight he'd want on BT?
Im tired of this heavyweight division. Too much about money these days and lot of inactivity. Nobody dares to be great. Once in a while a decent fight pops up and this certainly would be one of them. They said klitschko era was weak but man you always knew klitschko will fight 2 or 3 times a year and take care of who is next in line. These days you will be lucky if a heavyweight fights once a year. horrible
Fury beat him... with an uppercut. Knocked him out. A forty year old Povetkin beat him... with an uppercut. Sent Whyte into the shadow realm. A green Joshua beat him... with an uppercut. Sent Whyte into the shadow realm. Chisora dropped Whyte... with an uppercut... look if you consistently get hit with a single type of punch you are not elite. Whyte is a joke who can't avoid an uppercut and looked like absolute dog**** in the most important fight of his career against Fury. Whyte's chin asorbed too many punches and cracked against Sasha. As for the potential Joyce fight, Whyte has horrible movement he won't be able to keep Joyce off him. Whyte had his time and that time has past.
Depressingly accurate post. And as @Wizbit1013 pointed out, it's unlikely Whyte and Warren are in a rush to work together anytime soon. It's hammer time
I like Joyce. Especially after what he did to Dubois. But I hate to see how he spends his last prime years fighting the likes of Hammer and Takam once a year. Given that Usyk could be busy fighting the bodybuilder and the Gypsy king back to back at least for the next 6 month, Joyce spends his prime years waiting and fighting mostly poor competition
Honestly, I like Joyce too, but as you suggest he seems all too happy with following the blue print of have your promoter throw money at a sanctioning body to buy you a ranking, then sit on it until you become #1 contender in said ranking by default. The win over Dubois was a good one, but only really significant on British shores. This is the general ranking (PBO) of Joyce's opponents: #38 Christian Hammer (2022 upcoming) #40 Carlos Takkam (2021) #30 Daniel Dubois (2020) #77 Michael Wallisch (2020) #18 Bryant Jennings (2019) #68 Aleksandr Ustinov (2019) #46 Bermaine Stiverne (2019) Like really, how on earth has that got Joyce a #1 ranking with the WBO and #3 with the WBC... Joyce clearly passes the eye test, but is he really content just watching Warren shifting chess pieces around the board?
Dont get me wrong, I would have loved nothing more than to see joyce smash up paint dry parker, but we know parker doesn't really want that smoke, tbh theres not much smoke he does want these days is there, if we're honest.
Sky made offers to Warren on behalf of Parker, so who really wants the fight, and under what conditions? It's impossible to fire shots at Parker whilst uplifting Joyce on this one
Favor Joyce, but he can be tagged fairly easily, so Whyte would have a good shot at scoring a knockout.
Only two live bodies Joyce has faced have given him issues(Dubois, and Jennings) Old Takam caused some problems until he was hurt, and a case could easily be made that he was ahead. If Whyte shows up in decent form, and he chin isn't totally gone then this could end up being a fairly competitive scrap.
Interesting fight, but I don't see anyone KOing Joyce. He has an insane chin. I'll go for Joyce to KO him late on.
