Rumours on Fury not being happy with the AJ agreement

Heard some rumours over in the UK at the moment....

Heard rumours that the information was leaked by Hearn to put pressure on team Fury to GET them into the fight. Fury has a preference to drop the WBO both take tick overs in June/July with Fury likely facing Kabayel and then do the first fight in Vegas in November/December. Team AJ feel that its Top Rank and Frank Warren's fault they didnt put the money up in December for Fury to have his tickover and not a problem at Team AJ. They want all the belts.

The releasing of information was to back Team Fury into a corner to either now take the fight or pull out and stop messing around. The site fee is already practically agreed with the middle east and Top Rank also believe its the correct offer and happy to go there. The rest of Team Fury are happy but Fury himself is not. Hence why he is saying hes and American fighter and thats his home and he might fight Wilder in the trilogy. Fury is saying nothing is done because as far as he is concerned its not ever going to be done without him.

Will be interesting how this plays out.

Also a side note... i have heard there are discussions about not being on PPV in the US it will be on ESPN+ and DAZN. Both providers putting down a rights fee which would effectively be close to 500k PPV buys combined which they would then not have to sell to a US market.

 

I don't know how much of that is true, but I said a few days ago that I suspect Tyson Fury is pissed off with Top Rank, Warren, ESPN, BT etc. for failing to guarantee a nice payday for a tick-over fight last year.
It's okay us saying "he should've fought anyway" for peanuts, just to stay active. But the other way to look at it is : those guys all promised him the world and failed to deliver.

Rumours. Contracts have been signed, this is confirmed. They are both happy with the terms, neither are soft enough to be forced in to signing something their not happy with. All we are waiting on now is a site and a date. Confirmed by Hearn and Warren.

 

Yeah, that was the part that puzzled me.

I understand the bit about Fury being pissed off with Top Rank, Warren etc.
But the bit about "Hearn released information to put pressure on Fury" doesn't make sense ...... the information he released was that both fighters had signed, so therefore Fury and Joshua are out of the equation as far as setting up the fight goes now.

 

Actually, this seems wrong.
Fury was saying "nothing is done" because he doesn't have a definite date and place for the fight.
Both Arum and Hearn have confirmed in the last few days that they haven't finalized a date and place for the fight.

 

Even Warren confirmed it's true the 2 fight agreement is signed and he was pissed that Hearn revealed it as they had agreed not to say anything unless it was a joint announcement.

 

Fury needs to put his big boy pants on and get his ass into the gym. 3 months is a long time and he's the natural boxer between the two. If he arrives in Pianeta shape I swear I'll take a **** in an envelope and send it to him. I favour a good version of Fury over AJ. He needs to 'negotiate' in the ring.

 

Fury's been in the gym all along. He might take rests now and then but he's kept himself in good shape and he's been sparring.

 

contract terms have been signed. The date and the site havent been agreed. Tyson has said he is happy with the fight and the terms but wants it in November/ December and wants a tickover in June

 

both have to agrre to the date and venue.

 

Surely the contract is for him and Joshua to fight each other next ?

 

You must have seen the footage of him on Morecambe South beach. He looks anything but good shape.
