For Fury, he really didn't look that bad at all. Not in fighting shape, but not terribly overweight.
    And now, he looks slim.

Okay. If that's the case ... Maybe Fury wants it in America but if Saudi gives the best offer, if it's a matter of a few more mill in his pocket, he'll agree.

The rumours are is that Tyson is gonna get sued by the bomb squad. The arbitration hasn't gone through yet. Lot of us and Deontay are gonna have alot more food on our table when our money settlement comes through. Well done Mr Haymon.

It may be a rumour but it fits with what we know of the two boxers. Joshua has taken far more money from the sport than Fury, he's a proven PPV draw even against lacklustre opponents and with lots of income streams outside his purses he's probably not as concerned about taking a relative hit on return from a low gate fight one at least. He's never off the screens here for his various sponsors and some of them at least will be happy for international exposure in growing Asian markets.

Whereas Fury's not proven a draw in the UK (that may change post image revamp) and even in his American 'home' has so far needed a dance partner to generate the big revenues. I also think Fury feels his ring legacy is secured with the Wlad and Wilder wins and he may see these next two fights as the last of his career whereas I expect Joshua to continue for a few years yet.

Finally, Joshua has fought in Saudi Arabia and knows what to expect. It's not exactly home advantage, but it's a slight edge and this could be a tight contest.

So maximising the revenue from these fights is far more important for Fury than Joshua. Couple that with the inactivity issue and I can see why Fury would've been happier with the tune-ups followed by a November bout in a place he's far more familiar with than Joshua.

Are you talking about Martin, Takam, Molina, Breazeale and Parker?

All of these names are used in arguments on this forum that Joshua has a better record than Fury, so they must be well respected competitors. I'm impressed with how Joshua managed to come through these 50-50 bouts to strengthen his record.

Some guys fight for money, some guys fight for money and legacy.
If Fury was focused on legacy and career he would have took that ticker for whatever money was on the table.
At least he would have got some money and wouldve been in a better situation now preparation wise.
As it stands now he got nothing. No money or activity, so nobody is to blame but Fury himself.
Remember he wanted ppv money for that fight. Its his own fault

Why not? He already had been annoyed with long talks about Wilder rematch aka Wilder III.

I do not think that he is genius but he did not feared to fight in U.S vs Wilder who is not old.
    This alone matters a lot.
V.s old Klit he too fought in Germany, not in U.K, this too should be taken into account.

    O.K, both are just boxers.
If they can't negotiate, then both might fight vs other guys.

Only please, do not talk till late autumn about possible next fight and no Pulev II here.

I mostly agree with this. He should have stayed active, even if it meant low money.
But I'm just saying guys like Arum and Warren will promise stuff and not deliver, and that probably happened to **** Fury off.

Where did you see Fury looking in better shape?

The footage of him on the beach was about 5 weeks ago and I've hardly seen Fury since then.

    God knows about his shape.
Fury looked improved after Wilder I fight and able to adjust vs Wallin while had cut and looks that had tailored his game for Wilder II.
This is evidence that he had improved.

Is he lazy or no, will see if any fight vs Fury will happen this year. I'm not sure.

All of the little things will add up in Joshua's favor, Fury's inactivity, The fight taking place in the middle east which Joshua is use to, Fury looks to be in the dumps again etc.

Either they take the fight in June or it does not happen and the world knows Fury bottled it.

    Hearn says he signed.
So he can't bottle it without facing a huge lawsuit.

Frank Warren admitted on Talksport this money that the fight is agreed and signed while they are finalising the date in June and location. Fury seem a bit off mentally but I hope it was just a bad day really. We need this contest for boxing.
