You clearly underestimate the appeal. AJ just made £80m to fight Ruiz in the rematch. The Middle East has massive links to UK tourism and a large event budget.

Outside of the US it’s as big as if not bigger than Tyson vs Holyfield. although not saying this is a clear example to give an idea of their reach in this day and age Spence has 700k Twitter followers amd crawford 600k. Fury has 4m and AJ 12m the global reach of these guys will ensure it’s the biggest fight since mayweather vs Manny.

That fight generated a reported $600m and if you think these guys will not generate a third of that being it’s the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in 20 years both guys will make mental money.

I'm not denying it's a huge fight you obviously didn't read my post.

I'm just saying it's not as big as they think it is.

We're here with it plastered all over all the main stream media sport pages, is it the same in the US? Europe? South America? Asia? I don't know but I doubt it.

It's a huge huge fight, for the UK and boxing fans worldwide, but it's not a fight that the whole world will be talking about and tuning into like an Ali or Tyson fight or May Pac.

I agree with everything you say but $200m generated does not equal $100m each, there's a lot of money to be paid out of that as well, that's all I'm saying, along with the fact that this isn't a world stopping event like a world cup final or Ali or Tyson fight

But its really not. The US has sorry competition right now but don't forget the 70s and the 90s which are 2 eras better than this one. It doesn't have to be this stupid UK vs US rivalry.

I think you might be right. There ain't no lengths E-Hearn wouldn't go to protect his golden goose and I include Elton John type activity when I say that too

But did HE actually sign or was it his promoters ... who may very well have legal power of attorney to do so.

Let’s see how it plays out.

This fight could do monster numbers in the US. Especially if it happens right around the NBA Finals/Playoffs. ESPN will have a HUGE platform to hype the fight.
