in the amateurs yh mate when he was a World Championship bronze medalist, got to the quarter finals of the Olympics, Commonwealth silver medal, EU gold medal, he was a top top amateur.

He's not just a strong, big puncher.. he has solid sound technical skills as well... he's going far.

Well there's a good channel and a bad one! If you want exposure you sign and fight with the good one, if you dont you sign with the bad one and risk not being noticed and not getting paid!

Frank has confirmed Saunders has left him, his contract was up apparently so no court case needed this time

Have to agree with this. At the moment if I was fighting I'd want to be on Sky and if not Sky then Channel Five. Boxnation has not got the reach currently, I'm still shocked there hasnt been any BT Sport simulcast deal done.

As for Saunders, Hearn said he has a couple of signings in the next couple of weeks so it's plausible he has jumped ship.

You are spot on if you live in a perfect world. Matchroom and Sky can't make everyone stars. Stephen Smith has done nothing under Eddie. Smith would have been better off staying with Frank. Not everyone gets the 'glory' The last Hull show got 71,000 viewers.

The purses on Frank's Bad Blood show are double, if not treble, those on the Bellew/Cleverly show. Both Fury and Chisora are getting more than Bellew and Cleverly combined. I wouldn't be surprised if Billy Joe is getting more than Bellew and Cleverly. Eubank Jr is getting more than Paul Smith got for fighting Abraham. Lots of money to be had on BoxNation.

As for channel Five, they are not really backing Mick. If Mick got 20 shows and good money and serious advertising, then that would be amazing. Sadly it's not happening. At the moment channel Five are not seriously backing boxing. There needs to be a long term plan.

Stephen smith has had a fair few injuries the past year or so, but he's in a position for a world title shot. And if a boxnation show got even half that 71k viewing figures it would be absolutely amazing

As for getting paid more per fight on boxnation, hardly a surprise seeing as they won't have much profile amongst the general sports fan (as a result less likely to get endorsements and they'd be of lower value) - stuart hall and paul butler have been world champions on boxnation but combined have half the Twitter following of brian Rose

it's no secret that bill Ives is massively propping them up, once that dries up it'll be interesting to see what purses are offered compared to sky/c5 etc, see if itv come back into the game in the next year after losing fa cup and champion league rights as the subscriber base is nowhere near enough for the costs involved with live boxing rights

Once again a bit of sense. He does seem to be a really hard puncher but he's a near 29 year old with a handful of wins over less than impressive opponents. Everybody seems to be raving, including the pundits. But at a far higher level they were nearly all saying Lucas Mattyse was the 2nd coming of Roberto Duran.

Wasn't Stalker? Still, you can't talk sense all the time. Sorry mate I was a bit slow you were having a laugh.
Seriously, the more Im seeing of that gym the more Im going to root for the other guy. I liked Stalker as an amateur but found myself being chuffed for young Catterall Saturday.
