I'm starting to believe that Rungvisai is ducking the Estrada rematch. Estrada was coming on very strong in the championship rounds...
Sor Rungvisai looked a bit off that night. It was similar to how Gonzales had looked in prior fights. I don't know how to quite articulate it but these though fights can wear one down mentally.
I think it's a classic case of the bigger puncher losing confidence when his shots aren't putting the guy away... I don't think Rungvisai is very eager to rematch Estrada.
For some reason rungvisai still hasn't knocked out a natural 115 fighter(choco doesn't count). Even fricking diaz. The last time he fought a talented natural 115 fighter in estrada he barely escape with a decision. Ancajas may lose this but in no way it will be guaranteed and if this fight happens in espn once rungvisai goes down it WILL be counted.
Which makes me curious. If i remember right ancajas only signed for a 3 fight deal under top rank with anything beyond that is to be determined by his performances. So im wondering why is bob still speaking for ancajas? Plus when pac signed wifh pbc he has a deal that fighters under his banner will fight in pbc so that also includes ancajas. I wonder who really co promotes anacajas at this point.
Ancajas and Rungivisai looked bad in their last fight. Rungivisai at least CLEARLY won and the KD wouldn't have done anything but he looked sloppy. Ancajas needs to rematch his last opponent.
Agreed, it was a 50/50 fight where Estrada was weary and scared for the first few rounds, if they ever rematch I expect a KO from SSR or a 117-111 Estrada decision.
Estrada also made him miss quite a lot. I don't know if Sor Rungvisai ever had such a hard time landing punches. Made to miss, made to pay.
More than a belief, he was offered more HBO coverage & chose to stay home instead, & with HBO gone, it may be over a year before someone does another Superfly @ some streaming site. I think SSR is lucky he escaped with the W & owes JFE a rematch.
