Agreed. Maybe Thurman overthinking what his trainer was telling him. If he kept fighting Garcia would have stayed on the defensive. Thurman had too much everything.

 

At least we now know that he isn't as good as he claims. He is over rated

Oh I dunno I used to think that of him but after the Porter fight where he traded blows and came out on top I said I'd never doubt him again,infact I just think he fights according to the opposition?

 

...I must be the only person who thought it was a pretty good watch. First three rounds and then I think it was 6 and 7 that I found interesting. Thurman engaged more than Garcia, so tough to say it was he who made the fight dull IF you felt the fight was dull. First three rounds Thurman came out way aggressive, I was afraid it was a bad move on his part but worked out.

 

Maybe if we don't consider Thurman a puncher we can look at him differently
He was hyped as this puncher but Ai have never seen this power and always end up disappointed
Maybe if he planted his feet more like in round 1 he would be more popular but when he boxes and runs it is not the pretty version

 

Thurman felt Garcia power and didn't want to risk getting hurt in the late rounds. I think the body shots were starting to catch up with him

 

Your post literally addresses nothing I said. Do you know what my post was even about? You said Thurman ran the whole fight, which was obviously wrong, and I in turn replied with he only ran the last three rounds. Out punching your opponent and using lots of lateral movement is not running, it is called boxing smart. I wish he stood and fought the last 3 rds but I'm not the one in the fight. He knew he had the fight locked down so he didn't take any chances the last 3 rds. It's smart, boring but smart. Garcia got whooped every second of the fight. Get over it.

Forget boxing, you need to learn to read. The punch stats say it all.

He won by whatever means necessary. Can't knock a man for that even though i wanted to turn the fight off after the 9th round.

 

Don't know what fight you peeps seen, but Danny G was completely outclassed by Keith & easily. Thurman was able to do what he wanted WHEN he WANTED. No WW can beat him that includes Spence Brook & Old man Pax
