Well I don't know, Demetrius Andrade and Rau'shee Warren both were pretty succesful. And like I said, I've heard nothing about the AIBA changing those rules, but maybe they haven't released all their scheduled changes yet. But they were talking about a lot of changes, such as removing jerseys as well, and I'm pretty sure that most of them won't happen, aside from the revamped scoring system.

well, no question about that, but: their luck that the cubans have boycott the WC otherwise they wouldnt have made it so far.

    the biggest changes will be:

    no headguards anymore,
    3x3min
    no RSCO anymore

I personally do welcome those decisions, because it makes amateur boxing more popular again (hopefully)

No, it just makes it more like the pros and takes away one of the biggest things that gave amateur boxing it's reputation as being safe, the headgear.

    Do you have a source??

the change form 4x2 to 3x3, is that for the more experienced boxers or also form the new fighters of amateur boxing??

I don't think that would be a good change because most of the fighters i see in the ring (including me) have a hard time with the 2 minute rounds

well,i have some friends at AIBA and those informations are 100% true.

having a headgear doesnt mean that you are safe at all. you will feel the punches anyway when you get hit. also it makes your head bigger and easier to hit.

im tired of arguing around. just accept the changes that are effective from next year on.

its like that and the way it is-if you like it or not

    Bobby:

running is just one part of training, nothing more. the main thing you do in the ring is to box. so workout on your boxing skills and let others prefer to run around...

They may be making some changes but headgear will never go.

Yes, and I have some friends at USA Boxing who haven't heard anything about these "changes" yet, or reported on them. So we'll just see. But you can bet that if headgear goes, you're going to see a tobn more cuts, cauliflower ears, and a hell of a lot more damage from clashes of heads.

And a hell of a lot more parents that refuse to allow their kids to box.

Run 2 miles per day, every other day.

On the days you arent running, do some interval running. This is optional though.

Just be sure to do your 2 miles every other day, and be sure your arms are in tip top shape. And by tip top shape, I dont mean "muscular".

Well, boxexpert, your source isn't really convincing to me. ( some friends.....)
If this changes are coming, i don't think it will do the sport any good.
