    Just to recap.

    1. Your body will burn muscle before fat if you don't eat before you run.
    2. Your body needs fuel, no fuel = **** performance.
    3. NEVER RUN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

not to mention your metabolism slows down immensely.

I always have run on an empty stomach every morning at 6am. Don't eat since my dinner the night before at 6pm. It is a lot better and boosts your metabolism throughout the day. You will burn more fat and work harder. Highly recommended.

no, but they still ran on empty stomach so it clearly didn't do them any harm because they were fitter than fighters today who follow all the modern sports science.

And also I agree with Mr VIP, it actually kick starts your metabolism for the rest of the day.

you can agree with 'mr vip' all you want it doesn't make it true, infact you can carry on doing it all you want, just dont feed people the wrong information.

Almost all top fighters run in the morning before breakfast.

You're basing your argument on modern day sports science research which is constantly being renewed or discredited. I'm basing my argument on personal esperience of years in boxing and the fact that almost every succesful fighter that ever lived ran in the morning.

don't ask me to name fighters who ran/run on an empty stomoch because the list is endless. There's a book written by some australian guy with about 40 ex and current world champions training regimes and the only one i can remember that didn't run before breakfast was ricky hatton who ran in the evening because he wasn't a "morning person" and even he started running first thing in the morning when he went with Floyd Senior.

running first thing in the morning doesn't mean running on an empty stomach

hatton drank a carb shake before he ran, this can even be seen in 24/7 for the pac fight

miguel cotto runs at 5 am, he drinks a fruit and nut smoothie before it.

kelly pavlik runs before breakfast but also drinks a fruit/veg smoothie.

you still haven't named me anyone who runs on a empty stomach:lol:

I train before dinner, but before I go to practice I get a small snack. It helps

Make sure it's a healthy snack. Have an apple or something. Keeps me sane while I'm driving to practice in horrible traffic -.-
