    Hello guys

Long story short: fractured my knee last feb. returning to training last month and taking it easy with a couple sessions a week. Boxing is fine and knee is good but weird thing is when I've tried to get back into a running routine every time I run within a couple of minutes my calfs and quads on both legs start burning. Anyone encountered anything similar? I stretch before and after runs and also before bed and I'm not running very far at all, only 2 or 3 miles at a pace of 9-10 minutes per mile. I drink a lot of water and have a good diet. Annoying thing is before the injury I've been running at least once a week for about 7 years and now it feels like I can't even run and it's not even the knee that's the problem.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Try some resistance band exercises to strengthen the stabilizer muscles

    Thanks Jasper

Scrap - no surgery. The fracture had healed itself by the time I had an MRI scan beginning of April.

    Cheers

Probably, the shock that occurred when it happened has caused trouble with the muscle alinement, with the problem being in both legs I would get your Hip alinement looked at. Theres a lot of compensation been going on in gait.

Scrap - thanks for the informative feedback. Where would I go for that, doctors or physio?

    Cheers
