I've recently (last couple of weeks) started running everyday in the morning just to get myself in better shape, needless to say that my stamina is **** , i cant even run for ten straight minutes without having to stop but i guess thats normal for someone who's starting to run again after years of not doing any of it.

The problem i have is the pain i feel in my upper torso(chest, back, shoulders) for the rest of the day after that morning run, its like i took a beating in that area meanwhile my legs feel fine and i have no pain in the legs and they dont feel tired at all, i would like to ask the experienced runners on this forum shouldnt this happen the other way around with me having sore and tired legs for the rest of the day instead of the upper torso?

    Thanks for the help guys.

I get that as well sometimes, maybe its because of the way you run?

I know it seems stupid but maybe you need learn how to run again
    Watch this it helped me

I can now run for much longer and it doesn;t hurt in the wrong places.

    A marathon runner?

I cant even run one mile without stopping mate.

Do you think running everyday is too much for someone who's out of shape and hasnt run in years?

    What would you advise?

build up gradually if you cant run a mile without stopping i would do a simple walk run programme for a couple of months and eventaully build up to runs without stopping...woudlnt run everyday as well if your nto used to it on hard surfaces, tendons etc wont be used to it and more prone to a stress fracutre would recommend 3-4 times a week a walk jog programme and build from there!

Other than the boredom, why are treadmills bad?

They dont work the Posteria chain to well, the engine of the machine does it for you.

yep machine does alot of work and when running on a treadmill its a very hard surfce and very veyr bd for your achilles and knees espically as well as other joints (aalthough to lesser extent) once or twice a month isnt going to kill you but if you do most of your mileage on it your asking for injury also gives yoiu a very false feel of pace ever tried running 6 min mile pace on a treadmill then do that outside on the tarmack?!

Some are uncalibrated and give you a false impression of your speed.

TS its very likely that you are using improper running technique and you tense your arms. See the video posted on proper running.

Also in regards to treadmills they not only minimize the use of the posterior chain but also in some cases increase the risk of developing diabetes due to the exposure of dirty electricity.
