in b4 scrap and more world record times

i get so many problems with my knees and feet that i'll never do impressive times with running

3 miles in slightly under 20 minutes is what i've done when i was at my fittest though. which is pretty quick even if i say so myself, but nothing to brag about to runners

Very impressive times there mate, seriously.

Lol @ being born on Christmas Day, i'd hate that - my birthday's only a few days before it.

Cheers. Yeah it's a ***** but atleast I've allways got a day of work on my birthday. The bad thing is about that website is while it usually gets your PB's on there they're very good at getting the times that you don't really want shown up straight away while ignoring far more impressive results. It's also not the best confidence booster to discover that monster who you fought all the to the line with turned 15 about a week ago.

I don't think I'd mind so much getting beat by a teenager, I'm more bothered by the crushing feeling of inadequacy that comes over me as I helplessly watch some 87-year old ******* pass me and disappear into the distance.

This happens far more than I'd care to admit :-(.

Just did 2.7 miles roughly in 16 minutes 2 seconds, hammering my personal best! Man, running and getting your best time feels damn good.

Thanks!! I can feel it in my lungs, I push myself every time I run So I can only run 3 times per week on top of my other training, but each of those runs is better than a long slow jog I'd say.

I run a straight course down Swansea Bay - and my personal best is 45.53

I usually do times in the late forties - or if taking it easy - 50 or 51 or 52 minutes.

The run is a bit over 10K -so I think my 10K time would probaly be around a couple of mins faster.

My aim is to get down to 40 minutes flat - but it will take alot of running to get there.

I call bull**** on some of this thread- some guy who says he can do 10K easy - these world class Kenyans do about 28 or 29 minutes when they run on the course I run on - when they come down to do the yearly 10K event - one guy won it once and set the course record of 27 minutes and a few seconds - a few months later he won the London Marathon.

Thats the standard of people who can just get under 30 minutes.

Yet a guy comes on here and says he can do 10K in 30 mins easy - so whats your name so I can check out your world ranking ?

I don't mind loosing to the vets on a 5K or longer. Half of the ****ers were either 4 minute milers or 2hr30min marathon guys. For some reason road runners were alot faster 30-20 years ago:huh. There's a guy about 50 now at my club and he ran 2hr28 at London way back when, he couldn't even get into the county squad. Nowdays he'd probably be top 10 in the country.

******* has still beaten me plenty of times over cross country. I hate loosing to 14-17 year olds even in reps. When I come last in a 800m and the four ****ers infront of me are 20, 16, 18 and 17 I feel like that old Lion whose just been kicked out of the pride and has just seen some younger male **** my girl and eat my kids.

Slayer, a Treadmill is easier, the Treadmill does the work of the Abductor muscles. Over a period of time it can cause inbalance in the muscular structure. Theres an old saying Aductors for show Abductors for go, its very true. :good
