Theyre **** considering I may or may not be going to boot camp this year. I need to start moving from 2 miles to 3 to 4 mile runs just to get used to it and improve my stamina. What is the best way, to do like 5 minutes running, 1 minute walk until I am done? Or any other suggestions to move from 2 mile runs to 3 and 4 miles?
Oh and I have been meaning to go to a proper running shoe store for a long time. I know of a good one in the area and just havent gotten around to it yet.
The easiest thing to do would be to just add 1/4 mile every time you run until you get where you want to be mileage-wise. Then you want to improve your time, so you can do the run a mile, walk a quarter mile, run a mile, etc. Or you can run 5 minutes/walk a minute, etc. in whatever combination works for you. Then you move up to pushing it for 2 minutes/jogging slow for 1 minute.
In London one of mine was way over weight, with a month to go before a fight. I told Him to **** of and run 10 mile a day for 2 week. Two week later, He rings me and says He is down to the weight, and could I pick Him up. I say ok where are you, He says Manchester :rofl
