Good examples. An example of a runner would be Hector Camacho

I was surprised Hector wasn't mentioned in this thread though my opinion is that he shouldn't be. Even when hurt against Rosario he punched and landed while doing everything he could not to be tagged again and I had him win by a slight margin.

I think that people who says " he was running all night long" don´t exactly understand this type of fighting. it´s stick and move, look at Ali in his greatest time ( the 60´s) on his toes all the time but scoring during his movability. You don´t need to stand and fight to be call a fighter, you shpould float like a butterfly and sting like a bee to be a smart fighter.
To just move away and not even try to throw any punches, that is running and will not win any fights, in the end they will catch you, you need to fire back to keep them away. use your movability to find openings, just like Ali and Sugar ray did in, for example the Hagler fight. ( Best fight ever in my book )
    Cheers

hopkins doesnt run, he uses footwork

what lara was doing at times was running

when you make a guy miss,be in the position to counter and throw the counter punch
