I was just wondering how hard you guys run when you do. Should i be going just slow and steady or kinda hard? Running 3 miles 3 times a week btw

Ps: In the gym i go about 7 mph the first mile then 8-9 the second and 7 for the third.

7 is usually jogging, but it depends on how fast you are, your conditioning, or whatever.. I usually go about 75% top speed i guess.. You want to RUN steady, dont jog steady, run fast.. Some people do sprints for the first 1-2 miles for a certain amount of time, cooldown(jog), sprint for a certian amount again etc. etc. until they clear the first couple miles.. But i dont do that, i just run fast (not sprinting) for most of it, jog 1/4 mile, sprint the last 1/4.. I run something like 2.5 miles 4-5x a week..(Most people on this board run 3 5x i think, not sure)..

Gregsid, or someone else with experience, do you think i should do sprints or just do what im doing now?

what i do is do short bursts of sprints every 30 second or so for 2 miles and then on the last mile i just try to run as hard and as fast as i can.

This is on a treadmill though, can you still do the sprint/jog thing the same?

Damn, i dont know you would have to change the speed of the treadmill real fast without getting pulled off of it haha..
