This hopefully sets up a fight between him and Wlad early next year, I hope the David Tua talk is bull****, THIS is the fight that has to be made!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Man, I was frightened that he is done. Now, all is right with the boxing world. Pavlik-Taylor, Hatton-Mayweather, Kessler-Calzahge... LETS SEE CHAG-WLADDY! Is there a source by the way?
I am afraid you are correct. But honestly, after all this mess with all these ****ing belts and promoters,I don't care about all this unification **** anymore. I just want to see competitive fights between deserving fighters.
Its on ESB main page that he is training again and wants to defend the title before the end of the year. Still no idea what was wrong with him. Apparently wasn't hepatits anyhow.
Chag vs. Wladdy for dec or jan the latest i dont wanna hear any excuses they better get it done, perfect oppurtunity for both guys!!!
yep perfect timing for both guys. chag can easily put it off for one or two more months anyway since he is supposedly recovering from some mysterious illness... yeah right. and wladimir wants to fight in jan or feb... even though i cannot read minds if this fight doesn't happen then i'll blame chageav cause really, he could simply look at it as a delayed unification. why is it okay to unify with sultan but now not with wlad? i don't believe the tua situation will be that big a prob on wlad's side. i think even tua's people know wlad being unified would make a tua-wlad fight even more appealing financially etc. no... this rest on the shoulders of chagaev's team. if he was indeed that sick an extra month or two will be just what the doctor ordered. pleeeeease make this fight. otherwise sultan and chag will be the laughing stock of the heavies. ....then again thinking on it some more, even if chage and wlad didn't fight now, sometime in 2008 there will be no more excuses since wladiimir is free to pick his fights into early-mid 2009!
There is some bad blood between the Klitschkos and Chagaev's promoter Kohl (Universum Box-Promotion). The Klits used to fight for Kohl and filed a lawsuit because they and Kohl disagreed how long their treaty lasted. Kohl is the German counterpart of Frank Warren: He usually doesn't take any risks: Just look at Erdei's and Sturm's last opponents. Because of those two reasons I highly doubt this fight comes off.
How about Chagaev-Tua? If Ruslan wins, all the better momentum to build up a Chag-Klit fight. If Tua wins, no more complaints that he doesn't deserve the shot.
