[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttsEXLWQyGs[/ame] Ruslan says that Wlad really knows how to keep the distance between him and opponents... in there 2009 fight, Ruslan was confident he could get thru Wlads defense, but as the fight continued, his confidence slowly wore off as he kept missing shots and Wlad start landing.. He sounds really humble in defeat, saying that it didnt go his way that night... But says KLitschko is a great champ, and he doesn't believe that he is boring .. He says he is effective.. His prediction is it will either be a quick knockout, or a long and dull fight. He says the fight is 50/50... But he wants Wlad to win...
Not surprising he'd support the man that beat him, over the one that ducked him and denied him his title shot.
They said that the regular WBA title would become vacant after Klichko v.s. Haye. And that Chagaev is number 1 contender for it and would most likely face Povetkin for it. If true, maybe this is what Povetkin has been waiting for. Anybody know anything about this?
I would be very suprised if they didn't promote the winner to "super" Champion and have others fight for the regular Title. WBA are shameless in their corruption and while i obviously think it's bull**** to issue another belt i would be very excited and interested in a Chagaev vs Povetkin fight.
Ruslan looks like a college student. Question: Ruslan was born in Uzbekistan and lives in Germany, is his Russian fluent?
Chagaev-Povetkin is a good matchup. Ideally, a victory for Povetkin could lead to the confidence to finally challenge Wlad.
Povetkin v.s. Chagaev fight makes sense for both fighters, and would probably be a good action fight.
I saw an interview where Chagaev picked Vlad to win, it was a different interview.................Chagaev is better fighter than Haye.............Haye ducked him and Chagaev actually did beat Valoeuv, Haye did not..........
