atsch ****s sake. So Chagaev leaves Universum after they **** up his career by waiting until a couple of days before fights to bring in some can at really short notice, and now the same thing is happening again http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=349020&cat=boxer Seriously? A guy who only lasted one round against ****ing Tom Dallas? Does Chagaev want to get back into contention or not?
Chagaev has no promoter, team or trainer. I believe Felix Sturm's promotion company arranged it for him. That Malik Scott in your av? You know he turned down a fight against Abdusalamov right?
34-0 ducking a 14-0 guy i suppose Americans do have to treat their HW's like an endangered species and protect them at all costs.
What logical reason would there be for OG Malik to accept an Abdusalamov fight? First of all, we have no idea how much he was offered. It could have been a very small purse. Magomed hits harder than a nitrous oxide powered freight train. I'm sure Makaveli could outbox him but he doesn't need to take those risks. I like Magomed, and Malik is the #1 HW prospect around right now. Let them fight each other for a world title when the Klits have been dethroned. Not now when they're both on their way up. If Wach and Charr can get shots at the Klits, there's no need to take tough fights yet.
If Chagaev has made a lot of changes such as changing his manager, trainer and promoter it is wiser to go against an easier opponent until he figures out how his new people are in completing their responsibilities.
OG Malik will be taking some very tough tests in the not too distant future. But Makaveli and Mago are two of the top 8 HW prospects in the world. Why fight each other now? Champions should be facing each other in front of millions at the top level.
yeah its good to sharpen up again 12-18-1 fighters ranked #486 in the world. chagaev is crap. nothing more nothing less. :rofl
Excellent fight for Chagaev, no need to rush his comeback, he needs to feel out the division again, he waded in too deep too soon when he fought Wlad and he won't make that same mistake again.
Its good that Chagaev stays active and this is his third fight this year, something that hasn't happened in a long time. Being he doesn't have a trainer, promoter, etc at the moment I guess he isn't going to face any real threat. But, Kreiskott is a pretty awful fight for a guy at Chageav's level. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, Chagaev will move onto better fights again and this fight means nothing, unless he loses.
