This fight seems to be getting a bit marginalized, and that's a shame. I for one am pumped for it. Understandably, people are more excited about several other match-ups on Saturday: Kotelnik-Maidana, Darchinyan-Arce, Diamond-DeMarco, even Narvaez-Whitfield.

However, we have a pair of well-built, not-exactly-feather-fisted unbeaten heavyweights clashing for the WBA strap. And what's the buzz on ESB? Tumbleweeds...

Hell, boxrec only has it listed as a three star fight. It certainly isn't a five, but even with Drumond being a relatively unknown quantity (his notable wins being Kelvin Davis, Luis Andres Pineda, and erm...yeah Sedreck Fields) this should net a 4* IMO.

Drumond, based on the little video I've seen, is strong and not unsound fundamentally, with at least above average speed and pop for a heavyweight; but Chagaev should still comfortably outbox him, especially as he doesn't seem incredibly sure-footed.

Who smells an upset and why?

    Boring. As usual.

Chagaev wins by 3 or 4 rounds.

I'd be more interested if it was on visible non ppv tv.

Chagaev will eat some looping hooks. Drumond will get murdered to the body and could possibly get stopped late depending on what his endurance is like. There could be a cut!

It won't be Vazquez-Marquez but come on. You guys are way too snobbish. Chagaev is no more boring than he is exciting...middle of the road, I'd say. :nod Drumond is the x-factor here...he doesn't look like a world-beater in terms of skill and talent, but he does seem to throw with conviction, so with Chagaev's tendency to wade in with his hands low this could be interesting!

I would be seriously hyped for this fight if I had heard of Drummond or if the fight wasn't PPV.

Ruslan has shown a very solid chin in the past & I don't think I've ever seen him cut either. He's never been really hurt in a fight that I know of. Granted, I haven't seen all of his fights...............

It's an interesting matchup if for no other reason the mystery factor.

What does Chagaev have left after the layoffs? Who the hell is Drummond and is he any good? I just like watching Chagaev fight. He's skilled for a heavy.

The tumbleweeds may because there's no US tv. I won't see this fight until it's on youtube.

Skelton was a tough SOB. Has anyone put him away? Chagaev can punch a bit. He'll TKO Drumond, who reminds me a bit of Owen Beck.
