I think Chagaev gets pretty well-handled...outpointed and possibly stopped....that experienced breed of boxer/puncher such as Charles and Walcott do not exist today despite the fact that they are giving up weight, they are giving up little else

I agree with this to a degree.

We're a few days from the biggest fight in this man's career. If he wins it, there will be another massive fight. There are people posting in this thread that might have different feelings about Chagaev's chances against Walcott if he stops Wlad in 2 on Saturday.

I'll go with the Chicken McNuggets. Arby's Roast Beef is past its prime.

Suzie, I think it is a good topic and of interest to me. Ruslin is one of the top heavys today, he has beaten Valuev and Virchis and Ruiz. He is a decent sized southpaw with GREAT amatuer experience and Walcott came up through the school of hard knocks and peaked late but became one of the master boxer/punchers of the heavyweight division ( one of the few) Charles was a master boxer/puncher with extrodinary skill.....Something of interest to think...good post

But boxing is what it's about, and there is a REASON why Moore for instance struggled more against guys his own size rather than guys that weighed over 200 lbs, and it has almost everything to do with his STYLE, which is the essense of boxing.

Charles easily outboxes him. Imagine the Charles with the skills and killer instinct before he killed a man in the ring. I'm confident Jersey Joe outpoints him but sometimes he slipped out or got a lil too cutsey which wouldn't be smart. I'd still give him a decision or late TKO. I've got more confidence in Charles, though; however I've still got enough confidence in Jersey Joe. Both seem to be unappreciated - especially Charles who I consider to be underrated.
