Runde 1

Chakhkiev uses his right jab to back Kotlobay up all around the ring. Very tentative start. Both keeping their feet at shoulder width and maintaining a mutually agreed upon distance. Chakhkiev throwing little but jabs, and Kotlobay less. Chakhkiev moving in and out, never too close. Reaching with that right jab. Kotlobay nervously skittering back.

Runde 2

Chakhkiev still attacking from long range, in little spurts at a time. Knees bent, up on the balls and toes of each foot, Chakhkiev encroaches upon Kotlobay and peppers him here and there with right jabs while trying to lure him into an exchange to drop the hammer with the left. Kotlobay isn't falling for it, circling well away and just flicking out some soft straight counters as needed to keep himself off the ropes and out of corners. BIG left hand by Chakhkiev near the end of the round.

Chakhkiev is looking really solid; Kotlobay something of a weakling.

 

Runde 3

Chakhkiev is swinging his thickly corded right arm at his side now, almost daring Kotlobay to lead. Chakhkiev bobs and weaves in, throwing a left hand to the body here and there and backing Kotlobay nearly into the ropes. Kotlobay is skating around the ring, trying not to get trapped and throwing some faint straight flurries diving in low past Chakhkiev's right jab. Clubbing combo by Chakhkiev, missing and allowing Kotlobay off the ropes as the taller man ducks and swerves away. BIG left hand knockdown by Chakhkiev with twenty seconds left!! Kotlobay takes the count to eight and is up, wobbly. Saved by the bell!!

Runde 4

Chakhkiev is threatening with his right jab and then converting it into shooting star upper-hooks to back Kotlobay up. Lots of hiding behind his shell and poking out with soft straight rights by Kotlobay, all while moving backward or around in wide quick circles. Chakhkiev is boring in and driving through with his left hand but getting stumped up against Kotlobay's guard as he backs him into a corner. Kotlobay sticks his left jab out and dances nervously to either side, left then right then left again to get out of the way. Chakhkiev just keeps coming. Hard combo pins Kotlobay in a corner.
