Runde 5

Chakhkiev isn't really following up on the KD with too much intensity. Back to the right jab from long range, letting Kotlobay have all the space he desires. A few left hands from Chakhkiev but nothing really too urgent. Kotlobay is even daring to step in and jab with him now, but quickly turning aside when the left starts to budge. Kotlobay uses lots of movement, outright avoiding Chakhkiev. A few casual lunges by Chakhkiev, looking disinterested and bored.

OK, I ****ed that post up royally. Couldn't remember the name of Frampton's opponent and knew there was someone with a name like Quigg on the card (isn't there a British boxer named Quigg? Scott, right?) and assumed that was it.

So it's Quigley, not Quigg - but he's fighting someone else entirely.

Not only that, but I spelled it Quiff. lol

Runde 6

Chakhkiev is diving in with left uppercuts to the body now, daring Kotlobay to either fight back or get pummeled against the ropes. Kotlbay decides on a little from column A and a lot from column B. Chakhkiev is hammering him with overhands up close now, bashing through his guard. Kotlobay tries an odd right hand over the top but isn't keeping Chakhkiev out. Kotlobay gets pushed to the ropes and mauled with clubbing shots whilst covering up.

Runde 7

Chakhkiev is throwing hard straight lead lefts, burying them under Kotlobay's chin and sending him reeling back a few steps. Kotlobay is backing up as quickly as he can but losing steam, just protecting his face as Chakhkiev lobs lazy power combos to the body. Slapping right hook by Chakhkiev is caught on the shoulder but still knocked Kotlobay over a few involuntary steps. Kotlobay is ducking back and trying to size Chakhkiev up for flurries springing up from a crouch. Hard left to the belly by Chakhkiev. Now a pickaxe right hook to the body. Kotlobay backs out and paws with his left jab. Body shot by Chakhkiev. A pair of wild uppers by Chakhkiev driving in to try and put Kotlobay on the ropes. Left hand lead to the body by Chakhkiev, blocked but forcing Kotlobay back. Kotlobay runs, and gets tagged with a left to the nose while running.

Runde 8

Chakhkiev is trotting around Kotlobay, flinging up right hooks from the hip and brazenly telegraphed heavy left hand leads. Chakhkiev is getting very bold in there, trying to keep himself amused by coming at Kotlobay from all angles and squeezing in close to force a brawl. Kotlobay doesn't like the taste of the bait and is backing away with only a few meager, bland right hands to indulge Chakhkiev's own appetite for war.

Runde 9

Chakhkiev is plugging away, right jabs and hooks to the face and lefts to the body and then switching it up. Rights low and lefts high. Kotlobay is barely staying upright, slouched over and trying to either seek refuge on the ropes or flop up against Chakhkiev. A few lame slaps over the top or pawed left jabs by Kotlobay are his only offense. BIG shot by Chakhkiev, big left hand. Kotlobay is clearly hurt, and trying to hold. Kotlobay intentionally spits his gum shield out. The ref threatens to take a point if he does it again.

90-80 Chakhkiev

 

Runde 10

Chakhkiev puts up his right jab, shepherding Kotlobay toward the corner. Clubbing left over the top by Chakhkiev. A few defensive sentinel jabs by Kotlobay, just going through the motions and trying to lose on points. Chakhkiev leaps forward with a wild left hand lead, and gets tied up. Chakhkiev parries the weakly pawed left jab of Kotlobay with his right glove. Some rapid side-to-side swinging at the waist by Chakhkiev, looking like he's working himself up for a big attack. Just a few hooks to the body. Kotlobay is backing up and blocking, surviving.
