Haven't seen enough of Ortiz to make an educated assessment. But, I will be pulling for him.

I have seen more than enough of Chagaev. He is a decent fighter. But one who would never have even sniffed a title belt through the 90s.

How he is in line for another title shot after beating nobody good in years is a mystery.

Chagaev beats Herbie Hide and Michael Bentt easily...

At least with Bentt i agree. Hide, you never know, he had good speed and power and that chin wasn´t always easy to find. It took Bowe 6 rounds to stop him. And i wouldn´t rate Chagaev over Bowe.

As for Ortiz, he hasn´t fought anyone of notice, Chagaev is a big step up. What i´ve seen from Ortiz does´n´t make me think that he will beat Chagaev.

Ortiz is fresher but he's really not that good.

    Chag UD.

He will become the World Regular Heavyweight Worldchampion of the Regular World once again and Ortiz isn't going to stop that from happening. :ibutt

Why does Ortiz have such a high rating? he hasn't beaten anybody... his best wins are over Journeyman Zach Page and shot to hell Bert Cooper. he has easily one of the worst resumes if not the worst of any HW prospect/contender out there. I don't see how Chagaev loses this one, he may be past his prime but even in his current state he's 100x better than anybody Ortiz has stepped in with. At least Ortiz doesn't have a bunch of idiot fanboys hyping him on internet forums like Wilder does though, Wilders record is hardly better than that of Ortiz.
