Chagaev, TKO. He's a mobile two-fisted box puncher. Skelton's worst nightmare basically.

Got to go with Chagaev, Skelton has a chance as none of the heavy champs are that great and they are all beatable, but i think Chagaev has more ability and will rough out a tough but extremely dull points decision.

Both fighters are tough, durable, and reasonably solid punchers. However, Chagaev is a quicker with better technique. I lean toward a decision win for Chagaev. Could be pretty entertaining, albeit sloppy. Hey, if Chagaev can fight Ruiz and keep it halfway interesting, he's gotta be doing something right.

Chagaev will win by decision. He's crafty and resourceful, much like his counterpart Sultan Ibragimov and I like the way he beat the giant Valuev. Valuev isn't a great fighter or anything, but it still was impressive how Chagaev wasn't intimidated by his size, like some other fighters have been, and unlike Ruiz, he actually defeated Valuev.

Chagaev UD. I feel Sultan and Chagaev are nearly the same fighter except Sultan has more hand speed, movement and a weaker chin. Both southpaws w/Chagaev having a bit more pop.

I really feel Chagaev is being pretty overrated around here now. Yes, he is a good and intelligent boxer but I find him extremely one dimensional.

Watching his last two fights against Ruiz and Valuev, he was only effective with the left hand. He will throw it straight or sometimes loop it over the top. He will only throw his right hand in combination w/the left and never leads with it. Didn't see one effective uppercut. His jab is very lazy like Sultan's. He languishes in the punch zone way too much. That might work against those 2 lethargic hws but wlad would slice him up.

He is a good hw worthy of the #2 ranking due to his quality opposition but his lack of dominance in these victories reveal his shortcomings. His inactivity since beating valuev has hurt the division and his choice of an optional opponent is pretty lame. And his alias is really embarrassing and undeserved :yep

After Valuev-White Kitten fight, he will have 9 months to make his mandatory. That is plenty of time for a Wlad-Chagaev bout.

Matt has a good chin so I see it going 12 but Chagaev will out class Skelton and take it on points.:bbb

Skelton should easily outbox Chagaev. The only possibility for a Chagaev win is if he can successfully ruff Skelton up a bit.
