Roy Jones of the Ruiz fight instead faces Ruslan Chagaev.

    What happens?

Well, Chagaev has much more power, does not need clinching to win and is a southpaw. I don´t think Jones can take many punches from a good hw puncher and Ruslan has the timing and accuracy to catch him. If he has Jones hurt he knocks him out.

Chagaev is big enough, strong enough and more clever by far than John Ruiz, so he would present Jones with a whole different set of problems than did Ruiz. I see it going the distance, as Chagaev is a rather conservative boxer, but using his superior strength to good advantage to win a decision going away. No John Ruiz here.

An old Ruiz fought Chagaev to a close SD in Germany. Jones shut out a better version. Chagaev isnt very mobile, doesn't bring that much pressure and isn't a very big puncher. Chagaev has had very close cals against Ruiz, Skeleton, Valuev and Virchis. These are all very limited fighters

    Roy Jones wide UD

You're calling Chagaev's fight with Skelton a "very close call"?

The Chagaev-Ruiz figtht was not close, it was a clear 8-4, you even could have t 9 rounds to 3, fight. That was not close and neihter were the other fights. Have you even watched them?

Yes it was, Skeleton had him on the ropes for the duration of the fight working him over. Chagaev covered up and scored the better cleaner counters. But he was fat lazy and I dont think he did enough to win the rounds, but I didnt score this piece of **** fight

Chagaev should have been stripped for being a fat lazy worthless fighter that wasted my evening  Never will I watch Chagaev fight again unless hes sacrificed as a punching bad for Wlad or Haye

Style make fights, as you know. You cannot base your conclusion of Jones-Chagaev on their respective efforts against John Ruiz. Chagaev, IMO would more effectively utilize his advantage in strength and size against Jones than did Ruiz. For that matter I think Sultan Ibragimov would be effective against Jones as well.

Based on styles I see RJJ boxing Chagaev's ears off. RJJ has far superior skills, has a massive speed advantage, fitness advantage. Chagaev's chance is to break Jones down but he can be lazy and may not be able to set up the opportunity but Chagaev isnt a massive puncher himself. Chagaev also has around the same reach as Jones

Jones chin isn't the china some assume it to be, he took Ruiz's best right hand clean and Ruiz knocked Holyfield down with that right.

Power Puncher has some odd scores. Chagaev beat Skelton easy.

I'd also pick Chagaev to KO Roy Jones.
