    Currently,

    Chagaev is +500
    Wladimir is -600

Is either a good bet? Thoughts/analysis?

I have not seen any footage of Ruslan...Is he dangerous enough that he could hurt Wlad or even KO him?

Chagaev is about a 5 to 1 underdog then I'm guessing.

Chagaev's power is above average, but nothing like Corrie Sander's. In fact, I don't think Chagaev hits as hard as Lamon Brewster, either. This means that in order for Chagaev to hurt or kayo Vlad, Vlad would have to be exhausted first.

I doubt very much that Chagaev will be able to exhaust Vlad the way Brewster did in their first fight. Thus, I am not counting on Chagaev hurting Vlad.

If Chagaev can fight as well as he did against Valuev in 2007, then this might be an interesting fight. On the other hand, if Chagaev is as mediocre as he was recenty against Skelton and Drummond, this fight will be no contest.

Check out Chagaev's films on youtube. Something that interests me is that against Drummond, Chagaev actually looked stunned from a right hand near the end of the third round.

    Why?

I get the sense that Chagaev has no chance at KO'ing Wlad...Am I wrong in this assumption? Does Chagaev have it in him to KO Wlad?

And as far as winning a decision goes, I wouldn't count on it in Germany 1st of all, and ALL THREE of Wlad's losses have been via TKO.

Still if I have a couple hundred to throw away regardless why not attempt to x5 my investment on something that will ultimately get spent on alcohol for that evening anyway.

Be sure to post how much you bet so that I can bump this thread and make you feel even worse when Klit wins a boring fight.

    My thoughts too, before i thought about it a little, and there may be hope for an exciting match;
Klitchko's been training for a fast, heavy hitter. he's getting a slower, not quite as heavy hitter, but the problem is the southpaw (which Klitchko fought his most boring fight to date against sultan). the speed and agility he would have needed to fight haye may well give him a clearer advantage over chagaev. thing is, i'll bet that chagaev lands a few wobblers, which might get things really heated, and we might see some great action.
just a thought, and a hope.

then again might of course be jab...jab...jab...jab...jab...POW jab...jab...jab...jab...jab...POW as usual though.

Those are pretty good odds for Chagaev.

Considering that he is undefeated, champion, southpaw and they are offering bum odds for him, makes that pretty good bet. Then again there are lots of unknowns in his condition.

Wladimirs -600 odds are so low that there is really no point to put money on him.

Hmm Maybe I should but 50€ for Chagaev
