you would think at some point the guy would have some kind of say over his opponents....is downright embarrassing some of the guys he has fought.....but apparently you are right, he has been a good little boy and done what he is told and fought who they put in front of him with no questions asked. i see this fight as dead even or favoring Perez. I'll take the unknown undefeated in shape guy i have seen look impressive than the often out of shape, unimpressive, faded former belt holder
Perez might beat him. Chagaev's recent performances have been underwhelming (ever since he lost to Wlad to be precise) bar two good rounds against Povetkin.
he has been a gd little boy..after the povotkin loss tho you seen in his eyes he knew he has let himself go and i was kind of hoping he could get himself into gear again.. all signs do point to perez winning tho..im guessing chagaev will be to tricky for him and will win a close ud..decent match up tho:thumbsup
chagaev has looked vulnerable in his last few fights, if perez is given a fair chance by the judges/ ref and isn't affected by inactivity, i think he wins.
I will root for Perez, since Chagaev has shown self not to be up to task of winning title. I want a contender to emerge from this, and Perez winning is only way we get that.
Can't see Chagaev getting Koed here, he has very good defense and a good chin. This could be a good fight, if Perez is the real deal, he has to win here
I expect chagaev to win this Chagaevs career has been an interesting ride, thinks hes fighting Valuev, then goes to fight Wlad for a bigger prize and loses, then Haye avoids him when he is the mandatory and then he got a try vs Povetkin for a belt and has been kind of obscure not really dazzling or doing great vs eye catching opponents this could be his chance
Interesting fight that could go either way. Chagaev is on the slide but I don't think he's shot and has been keeping himself active. Even a fading Chagaev is a big step up from guys like Ahunanya and Tye Fields. Perez being off for a year doesn't help his cause either. I like Chagaev and would be fine with him winning but I think I'd prefer to see Perez win. He's much younger with a number of prime years ahead of him. Chagaev is clearly near the end and doesn't have more than one or two more big fights left in him.
It certainly is a step up for Chagev, however I think old father time has caught up with him and reckon Perez could pull off a hard fought points victory. I wouldn't be suprised however if it went in a similar fashion to Darchinyan- Del Velle from last month.
Could be an easy night for Perez. Chagaev looked really terrible in his last fights, especially in his recent one. Against Kreiskott he was way out of shape and i don't think he can fix this problem in three months. He simply has had enough in his career. Well, Perez hasn't fought for a year or so, but i prefer the younger and also skilled fighter in this one. Apart from such considerations it's still a very interesting bout like so many other 'crossroad fights'. :good
