According the Dan Rafael's article on ESPN.

Ruslan got a combined 750k for Bradley and Alvarado.

And will be making a career high 750k for the fight against Algieri tonight.

I dont even know what to say to that.

If he was under Haymon, he'd be making at least 1.5 million already per fight. :deal

People like to bash Haymon but the man gets you the biggest purses

1 m for Guerrero (against Berto)
1.6 m for Berto (against Guerrero)

1.5 m Danny Swift vs Matthysse
    850k Matthysse vs Swift

750k for algiere is comparable to the 850k of matthyse vs swift. tho ruslan is a side while matthyse was b side

Still though, Ruslan is headling, and is the A side. I dont understand that.

There isn't actually that much money in boxing. Only a handful of people ever make it to 6 figures at any one time.

You dont have to tell me that, I understand that. But 750K for BOTH FIGHTS?

Santa Cruz got 750k for being on the May-Guerrero undercard, and he wasnt even the co feature.

Before bradley, ruslan was fighting on espn for most likely peanuts. Beside friday night fights fans nobody knew who he was before the bradley fight.

Ruslan wasn't even a name before the Bradley fight. He got famous because of that fight and went on to make more money against Alvarado.

Is that obvious enough to you?

He was largely unknown coming off ESPN when he fought Bradley.

He was coming off a defeat when he fought Alvarado and was the title challenger.

    It's not that surprising.

But if Haymon was his manager Ruslan would have gotten 1 billion times that amount!

Although, to be fair he probably would have done better, but, even 750k for both fights is a damn site better than most professional boxers.

Give me £750k I'd happily get beatup or KO'd by Provodnikov, Alvarado or Bradley.

All Haymon fighters are on the self right now. None of them are making any money.

Ruslan is active and he's getting fights. Haymon fighters fights 2 times a year if they're lucky at the moment.

Seems like most fighters just want to fight 2 times a year like Mayweather and think they deserve Mayweather-type money for it.

    Are you dumb?

Provodnikov was an unknown B side fighter against Bradley and despite his exciting performance he still lost the fight.

He was also the B side fighter against Alvarado.

His promoter is Banner Promotions, a pretty small boxing outfit without any leverage with HBO.

So actually $750,000 for those two fights is good money. The Algieri fight is his first showcase fight with him as the A side fighter and if he delivers 1 million plus viewers then he'll definately be getting around $1,000,000 next time.

As for Haymon, the dude sucks and has managed to get all his fighters banned from HBO, the number 1 boxing network in the world that also has best viewing figures and creates all the future stars of boxing.

Not bad considering 2 years ago we were watching him on ESPN FNF. Also most likely this will be an easy paycheck tonight.
