Ruslan Prodv will fight JOSE LUIS CASTILLO in Moscow muhaha

    This Friday in Moscow, Siberian slugger Ruslan Provodnikov returns to action against Mexican great Jose Luis Castillo. Provodnikov is trying to get back on track after losing by split decision to Chris Algieri last June.
    For Castillo, at age 40, it's the opportunity to make one last run in what has already been a terrific career.
    These have been two of the sport's most fan-friendly fighters in this century. I'd be surprised if this one makes it to the final bell.



    I thought he was older then 40, they should have given JLC some light puncher like Malignaggi.

    Castillo will do well to see round 6. Sad to see him in these type of fights.

    Pathetic fight. Provodnikov and his team should be ashamed, and yes I'm suggesting Ruslan deserves some responsibility for this mismatch, in spite of all the appeals of him being willing to fight anyone or being a blood and honor fighter or whatever other way his fans describe him.

    what about garcia fighting a homeless teenage kid of the streets who had never been on a that stage?

    That sucked too. It doesn't justify or really have anything to do with this farce, which is in fact far more likely to be dangerous since Castillo has already endured multiple beatings and has trouble making weight. The fact that you felt it necessary to bring up another fight in an effort to excuse this one shows you recognize this fight is garbage too.
